Has EA ever checked their twitter responses when they tweet something about NHL??? Last night EA tweeted that they must up Tage Thompson's overall to 99 immedietely because he scored 5 goals last night (being scarcastic of course) and there was just bucketloads of negative replies just about creating a good game, fixing the game, ect and on and on and on. It's come to the point where nobody is giving civil responses anymore that is related to the topic and it's just another opportunity for gamers to take jabs at EA. The negativity is not going to go away. It's everywhere..Here, Twitter, Youtude, Reddit, Operation Sports. Not sure why moderators are trying so hard to "clean up" this forum where it appears it's just the minority in negativity towards the game. The game is obviously bad, the ONLY reason it's staying afloat is because it offers online play which is the thing these days. You could have NHL 94 though and have online and it would be just as good as NHL 23.
- 3 years ago@Strictly60s Why would you consider buying NHL 24 after this debacle? That would be rewarding EA for putting out trash this year that lacked numerous things they advertised. They get paid for that and then again next year? If you bought NHL 23 you ought not buy again until at least NHL 25 so EA at least feels something for putting out an unplayable game and standing by it.
- 3 years ago@VeronicatheCD Because many say I’m not getting the next one and get it.. he is simply not lying to himself
- Strictly60s3 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@VeronicatheCD I didn't buy this year after playing the trial. Decided to skip it because the game is straight trash and I'm voting with my wallet. I'll re-evaluate next year after the trial. Hopefully I don't have to boycott two years in a row but it is EA we are talking about so...

Just passing by to say that even with the big price drop, which sees the game's price being cut down to 35$, I still won't buy the game.
That's it, that's how worth a sports game is without a proper presentation, nothing. There's no good reason to play NHL 23, even if the game was free. That should be a massive red flag for the team and the person who thought removing full broadcast was a good idea. That's where we are right now. I know my purchase of the game means nothing to you, but more and more people feel the way I feel right now.
Whoever decided that full broadcast and misleading advertisement was a good idea is directly responsible for me not buying the game this year, even with the big rebate right now. I know I mean nothing, but acknowledging highly questionable decisions like that is what is leading this franchise into a concrete wall.
And the most unbelievable part is I don't feel any feeling of emergency to address that and bring back full broadcast. NHL 23 will never be remembered as a good game, but more like the apogee of EA downfall and focus on doing less with more.
Oh and I also just realized the first thread is being locked, so let's get this back to 900 comments again. This thread should always be the first one we see. Let's keep it constructive this time.
