Puck Control issue

Question

This is the first NHL game I've played in many years, so please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. In Be A Pro, any puck that is passed to me or even just a free puck seems to bounce off the stick. This is 100% of the time, regardless of what controller setup I use (Hybrid, 94', etc). I checked the sliders and everything seems to be normal.

Any ideas, as I'm missing 100% of the passes that come my way. Makes it tough to do anything at all.

@domejohnny Ever figure this out? I am not new to the NHL series and I still can't do anything. Every pass bounces off of my player, I can't even pick up the puck if no one is around me. I am thinking of returning the game.. it's no fun.
