Fantastic idea. Hockey bags are cumbersome and largely unimportant to players not overly concerned with how they look.
I also like the idea of contributing to a club pot of money where you can purchase specific improvements for your club rather than having to wait until you get a hockey bag that contains a logo your team likes to use.

Honest to goodness, find a way to bring back custom music. It's simply amazing that back in 2014, we had the ability to stream ditties from a network share to our console. The custom music community was simply amazing - eventually building a crowd sourced system that ensured the ditties on your computer were up-to-date with what was being played in arenas around the world.
Although I understand "licensing" limitations may be the culprit here, I don't buy that integrating a simple function that streams files from your local computer violates that licensing in any way whatsoever.
IMO, EA gets really cheap and/or free licensing from the bands/labels included in their games under the promise of 'exposure' and they likely were forced to exclude custom ditties in their titles by some record label in order to ensure their 'clients' were given the most exposure possible.
Side rant - this is why you can't turn off Carlan Bathe in the WoC screen. It's clear that her agent negotiated with EA to ensure her voice is the first thing you hear no matter what.
It's these little things that turn off long-time fans from the franchise.

This would be awesome! But from what I recall, the NHL is so protective of their brand that they don't want arenas in the game to appear empty at all.
- @KidShowtime1867 Hmm I dont think I played when they had custom music. I gotta wonder if this could be abused especially if clubs were able to make this their goal song. I think an "EA Vault" of music would be awesome. It could be used across all games and could be used for TD/ goal music.
Carlan is awful. The fact we complained SO much last year and it still wasn't fixed shows once again how little they are hearing us or care about what changes we want made. Maybe you're right about why. Crazy we don't have a button to shut her off.
As far as arena's go it wouldn't really be NHL stadiums it would be our EASHL stadiums. Would be even more interesting if we could change prices of stuff in our arenas or do different GM stuff to try to make our club money. Or maybe even have custom leagues within WoC.
@KlariskraysNHL when I was playing a few months ago we played on PS4 and PS5 depending on which console we could find a game. Even on a Saturday night we would be waiting 20-30 minutes or more. The avg search would go from 2 min to 1:30 or something but we wouldn't find a game. I will say that often times we would play with 5 because none of us can play goalie so perhaps that could help? Not sure how many play 5's vs 6's. 3's and threes we can find games all night (but we usually only played those if people were busy)- @rsandersr47 Custom Music sadly can't become a thing due to licensing these days.
As for Carlan well I'm sure EA inked a deal with her for several years and plus her stuff seems baked into the game where it would probably just be a hassle to remove it all instead of just leaving it til when they do decide to change things up.
I played the last 2 nights from like 7pm est to 1am est and besides us taking potty breaks between games we found them fast and frequent as 6s on PS5/XSX. I mean for so many I know of that play LG and such we only use search match same size so all those searches exclude the rest which probably makes things harder for you to find them as a 5s.- @KlariskraysNHL Could be the reason. It's rare we have 6. I mostly just play with friends from home, a few guys we met in game, then a guy I met on deployment. I mean it sucks you NEED 6 to find games but maybe that's the reason. I usually play any game where they have 4-6 guys. Any less and it's not worth it.

- @EA_Aljo But that's the thing.. why? Why not trash the idea completely? Everyone was upset with it, why not at keast give the option to get rid of her for the players? Moreover who asked for this? In not saying the devs need to take all their ideas from the community but whose idea was it? What WAS the idea? Players having a hard time figuring out what to do in WoC? I just think with this game having so many issues things like this just frustrate players who feel they're not heard.
I always bring it up but it's like how we ALL knew EA would add the Zegras and we begged EA in the forums to focus on gameplay issues and not adding it... then they added it. Almost a slap in the face. If this game was in a good place I'd be fine with new dekes, but it's far from it. Saying it's in a good place in the forums was just another insult to the customers.
We all know this year we are gonna get new cosmetics, a new deke or animation, and then 1 change to a major mode. Maybe online dynasty? Maybe local dynasty with multiple players and integrated BAP. But it likely won't work right or it won't be exactly what people want and they will all say "well... it's a step in the right direction" just like we do now with Carlin being less annoying. Then we will wait 3 years for those problems to be fixed or another update to that mode. There's just not enough change, the changes are usually filled with bugs, and the changes are typically not what people have asked for or worse the opposite of what they want. I get it's EA's project but I feel this game HAS to be making less money every year, maybe I'm wrong..

Meaning; it's not like other players (or other teams) would hear the music you had. It was just for you.

The omission of this feature coincides with soundtrack changes too. When custom music was enabled, the soundtrack was licensed by way of paying royalties to specific artists/labels for the permission to use their songs.
Look at this track list for NHL 14, the last time we were able to still use custom music:
Compared to NHL 15. There's a noticeable increase in the number of artists, but you'll also notice most of the artists are independent and/or not the most popular. My theory is that these artists were guaranteed exposure for very little/no licensing fees by removing the ability to import other music:
@KidShowtime1867Oh I know it was and then things like Spotfiy and all those popped up and artists/labels started to want their money. I can't remember what game Microsoft showed off with music that was licensed and it would only be shown on YT for a year before they would need to remove the music without it getting taken down.
Everyone wants more slice of the pie if their product is being used or can be used. I could buy music off Amazon but I can't stream it while gaming or I'd get DCMA striked.Hell the game, Hi-Fi Rush has a streamer mode that uses non copyright music to not get people in trouble but if you play it not streaming you can use the copyright music.

I say that cuz way back in the day (NHL 99-2004) the process if importing music required you to use a script to 'unpack' a file that EA called 'ditties'. Then you'd re-pack the 'ditties' file with whatever music/audio you created.
It was the first time I heard the word 'ditty' outside of the song Jack and Diane lmao.
