- kezz1233 years agoRising Veteran@EA_Aljo Its one of those things I have no way to prove. The games just "feel" off.
Harder to win faceoffs, harder to pass, harder to poke or hit (seems like more bubbles), etc. It wouldnt mean much to show gameplay I think. If I can disable them, im happy enough 🙂 - EA_Aljo3 years ago

Ok. I'll see if I can feel any difference with PS players. Are you seeing any other reports of this anywhere else?
- kezz1233 years agoRising Veteran@EA_Aljo Not really I have seen someone else mention it here a while back I think but its not really something I talk about with anyone other than my clubmates. And even then, its not frequent but its super annoying when we hit them

Gotcha. Thanks again for bringing it up. Appreciate it 👍
- @EA_Aljo He's not the only one that feels that way when playing PS5 people. It just feels like they all got magnetic sticks when poked and theirs are perfect when poking. I remember the claim it's the same version but I also remember when you couldn't hit people as well on Playstation so some of the esports players used that to make for better LTing and such

I play the PS4 version on PS5 because the playerbase is much higher but I haven't noticed Xbox players doing any worse than us (of course, we have the meta down-pat).
Which console are you all playing on? Maybe the X processes stuff slightly faster than the S in the same way I assume PS5 runs stuff better than PS4 (dear lord is there ever a delay - I loathe these seizure-inducing sync screens)

I think I made a post last year or 2 ago before cross play was a thing and suggested that I believed Xbox and PS had 2 different Sims. I thought this due to the fact people on Xbox rarely had problems with hitting and playing defense. They would often suggest they didn't have the problems we saw and many suggested we just play better. The other reason I beleived this was because the meta was different between the two consoles. Players who played on both would suggest that Xbox players played tighter defense and playstation players collapsed more (mostly due to PS players being unable to bump eachother off the puck and pokes not being efficient enough) what I've learned in games is that it doesn't take TOO big of a player base to get an idea of what the most efficient way to win is, and if players are playing different between the two consoles it likely means something is different even if minor. Idk if it's true or not, I dunno how games go from one system to another, I dunno why there would be a difference but it def needs to be investigated and if full cross play is released in 24 I'm sure testing could be easily done to see the effectiveness of stuff.
- @rsandersr47 I think it goes deeper than their game and it's more on how the systems handle things. I know pro esport players in some games have said the PS5 controller has less lag/delay than an Xbox Series controller on PC. So I wouldn't doubt if there were other things that caused games to be slightly different.
- kezz1233 years agoRising Veteran@EA_Aljo FYI - Disabled cross-play, still get paired vs Playstation players.....so another thing to add to the list of things that dont work.
Still can tell when we play PS players each time without looking just how suddenly im not allowed to poke anymore amongst other things.
man this game is just so frustrating. - EA_Aljo3 years ago
