Based on all the posts I have found it means you were selected for Day 1 of the Playtest but there is hope you could be added in another day.
So there may be hope you get selected another day.
Update,
My says pending but I was able to get in using the old client.
So not sure where it will stop me.
Update was able to create my EASHL club and invite my two friends who also still say pending.
So will try in a hour or so when other teams get created as I just rushed through to give an update.
