Re: Roster Update

They usually do a roster update a week after the season starts and normally keep it to the same day throughout the year. An educated guess would be next Thursday for the first one.

Any rookie that plays in a regular season NHL game before then will be added, but it will probably be a couple of months before the AHL rosters have everybody.

  • How do I actually apply the roster update to my franchise?  I have the updated roster named customroster1 and selected but the new players dont show up in my franchise mode.

    Thanks

You cannot apply a new roster update to an existing franchise.
You will have to start a new franchise to have any new roster updates.

  • ok.  so I will need to start a new franchise which is no problem.  how do I actually apply the updated roster to the new franchise?  I cant find the default roster area within the franchise options.  also will I be able to apply later roster updates to the franchise that I create or will I need to start a new franchise every time there is an update?

    Thanks a lot

  • I guess the main question is after starting the new franchise how do I actually confirm the roster update takes hold?

    Thanks again

The roster you have checked in the “active roster” menu will be the one used when you start a new franchise. If you have created players you want to show up, you probably have to merge the rosters in the active roster menu.

This is for regular franchise, not sure if it’s different for custom league as I haven’t played around with it much.

Not sure what kind of changes you are making, I guess the only way to confirm is to see if the changes you made appear in your franchise.
