Re: Stuck in "select sides" screen

Any update on this issue? This is day 6 of not being able to play any game in HUT.

    @Kovalchukk they have officially started ghosting us here and every other Ea tech support staff will send you here to be silenced... i reached out to Ea help on twitter and they said this to me

     


    The last response from any official EA staff here was on friday.  @EA_Aljo  and @NHL_Live_Support ran out of ways to waste our time with useless troubleshooting when they know the issue is on their end. Furthermore they have no intention of fixing the issue and hope it fixes itself with the next standard game update... Atleast thats how it appears since there has been no public acknowledgement from EA that the problem exist outside this forum...Furthermore, visiting this forum gives off the impression that this issue is not as significant as one might imagine because they have mereged several threads into one in order to make it appear as though fewer people are experiencing the issue than are. Additionally it makes it harder for future players experiencing the issue to find clear coherent information regarding the issue, especially when staff disappear for days at a time and are disingenous with the troubleshooting methods they have had people undergo. 

    Its funny because you would think a problem requiring its own team to investigate would also involve updating the community on the status of that team and the issue itself. That has not been the case however.... At the very least, there should be some sort of official message at the top of this forum stating something along the lines of "we are aware of the issue effecting many players ability to acces online features like Hut and Chel, we are working on a solution" , so new people coming here have a clear way of seeing that Ea is aware of the issue and working on a solution. Instead if your a new user coming to this thread with the same problem, you'd have no idea it was an ongoing issue Ea were allegedly investigating. Such terrible management here.

    At this point it's really not even fair to just fix the issue. We were stripped of the ability to finish with decent Rivals/SB Rewards last week. We lost the ability to receive any Champs Rewards this weekend. If you're like me, you already wasted Champs Points to register. We likely will receive little to no rewards for Rivals/SB this week. We likely will lose the ability to complete objectives for an entire week of HUT Rush (nearly 2 million points worth!) which means we won't be able to get to the higher tier rewards. There needs to be compensation. Anything else is completely unfair imo.

    I completely agree. At this point we have all missed out on days worth of packs, not being able to even complete simple daily challenges for seasonal rewards. I’m beyond frustrated.

    This is what I did. I went the sign on screen of the game and changed the account to another account. I dont have another account so it change it my account with ⚽ this on it. It came up saying that I need to sign on to XBOX live account to access my EA account. After I did that I signed back into the main account and it worked.

    Apologies for the lack of a response. I was away for the weekend. The team was trying to get this resolved over the weekend. Please try what @jimpaletta has suggested and let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

    I was told on support chat to keep an eye out on the official twitter for an update on this issue.

    @EA_Aljo and @NHL_Live_Support, Will we be receiving any type of HUT compensation for time missed? It's in no way fair that everyone is able to enjoy the game and earn rewards except for us.

    Hello, everyone. It's possible that having a custom gamerpic is causing this. This is a temporary workaround while we work to resolve the issue. Please update your gamerpic to be a default image and not a custom one.

    That is CRAZY!!!! 
    No idea how the team tracked down that crazy connection but replacing my Xbox gamerpic solved the problem.
