Been a long 3 days of having my EA account suspended due to my HUT team name being Canuckleheads. This is the 3rd time now I have dealt with this because someone reports my team name. I went with that because I'm a diehard Canucks fan. As of now I can't change my team name due to it being a defaulted name. There have been some questionable HUT names I have come across and one of them is still there after 2 months which promotes an illegal act. Yet I get a 3 day suspension for having Canuckleheads? I contacted EA help but it was too late before they could do anything. This wrecked my ranks for Ultimate rewards and my Champs games. The reporting system needs to be better, especially when customers are being wrongfully suspended and having their HUT team names removed. Please do better EA!

The biggest issue with this system, in my opinion, is that you can only report content. You can't report behaviors. Seeing an "offensive" name might irk some people (and I'm not against banning flagrant names), but gameplay is what actually ruins the experience of the game, not seeing words you don't like. A goalie can skate out of the net repeatedly, or a skater can repeatedly take penalties with no recourse. Teams can spend an entire game ragging the puck, and other grossly unsportsmanlike behavior. I presume this is because EA would have to actually have someone take the time to look into recorded footage and make a subjective decision, which takes resources, no matter how small.

I don't have the tools to look into those types of reports to confirm but yeah, I wouldn't agree with that ban either. I can appreciate most games having a simple report feature to combat all kinds of bad stuff but moments like these make you realize how much better they could be. In the case of NHL they have a 'Terrorism' option but no way to explain, even with a single sentence, your reasoning.

Ben Ross always communicated and looks like my team name is staying to HUT23994jhr or whatever because someone salty reported it. So just going to leave my team name at the defaulted as EA NHL is losing my support as a customer. Nothing against you Aljo! Just very disappointed over the last couple years with the lack of commitment to work and resolve many problems within a full priced product. Even my passion for hockey can't push my motivation to play this series when it has gone so far backwards. Unless NHL 24 has QOL content and consistent gameplay updates I won't be back. See you!

I don't have the tools to look into those types of reports to confirm but yeah, I wouldn't agree with that ban either.

@BIGRlTCHY I'm curious what initials you use for your team. If it's the 3 I'm thinking of it would make sense why it would get you banned.

CAN for short term of Canuck in the beginning of it. Prior to the 2nd name removal I used CNH.

We can leave it as is then. We're most definitely aware of names that aren't offensive being actioned and are trying to improve on that. If you change your mind, send me a private message and we'll look in to getting your name changed.

My Player name was Dirty Mike and EA changed it back to Joe NHL . Lol what a joke

clearly this system just bans literally anything thats reported...its wild..remember when online nhl was fun in 2008?
