Self sauce
Hello everyone, I have a question about the self sauce with the puck. When you are defending and you trying to make a poke check, your player are getting slower. But when a person with the puck ma...
Self-sauce has been in the game for quite some time. Unfortunately this year offense seems to be more OP than Defense. The self-sauce doesn't add a speed boost but the AI defense get confused and stop their back skate since they are more focus on puck possession rather than their check. Best way to get through it is to stay in the middle cutting to the lower of the circle. Even in Franchise mode the AI started trying to self-sauce. I have a video of it on my PC documents lol. As to why it hasn't been removed is mind boggling. Just promotes more toxicity within the gameplay tbh...
i already noticed that the AI is only reacting when a player has the puck. They for example start to skate when someone is picking up a loose puck. Normally they should react to the puck all the time, not only when a player has it on his stick.
I learned from sleeveless that a player has a little dropped skating when he has the puck. With the self sauce you tell the game you dont have the puck anymore. So you getting a little bit of advantage?
So then it is correct, that you getting an advantage with it?
Normally you should getting slower, because you starting a new aniamtion with your stick, like when doing a poke check.

There is no advantage to self-saucing. It never actually gave a speed boost either, but there was the idea that it did so of course this was used frequently.
