@EA_Aljo Since there probably won't be a patch before at least month, I guess we have time to discuss how this should be implemented.
In an ideal world, every skating attribute for each player would be randomly generated using a normal distribution, meaning that most players would have their attributes near 50. By doing that, every player would have different skating stances without regularly seeing players having close to 0 or 100 for different attributes, making their skating stride look weirder than it should.
Obviously, I imagine that would be more work to code in the game. The second best option would be to have attributes randomly generated between 25 and 75, without using a normal distribution. That would create weirder skating stances than the first option, but at least not all players would be the same, which is kind of the point of the editable skating stance interface. By limiting the generated attributes between 25 and 75, it prevents the players having unrealistic stances.
The third best option is the one we had in previous years, with everyone being at 50. Every player is the same which is not great, but at least their skating stance is somewhat realistic.
The last option is obviously doing nothing about it. I imagine that you or some of the devs play franchise mode and I can't understand how anyone can stand watching their players skate like they have a ton of bricks on their backs. If you tried editing players with 0s in all their skating attributes, you know how silly they look on the ice and it makes the game not immersive at all.

3 years agoThanks for the feedback. I personally don't play Franchise Mode, but we have members of the dev team that do. I'll pass this on.
