Stick Lift pretty much automatic penalty
Seriously... hitting the X button, even when perfectly positioned, results in hooking or slashing like 90% of the time... regardless of sliders... just wow

Also from going out of my way to stick lift I figured it out. Even at times when in great position the stupid programming targets by the hands instead of going for the lower to mid area of the stick and potentially swiping the puck away.

Yup that link works.
It looks as though they'd made it so that when stick lifting, if any part of the player body touches the opponent, the penalty is triggered.
Like you said, if they are going to change the logic so that the entire body is culpable of triggering a penalty, then at least fix the animation so that the player intending to stick lift is trying to target the lower-half.. ESPECIALLY when in tight like in your clip.
