Stick Lift pretty much automatic penalty
Seriously... hitting the X button, even when perfectly positioned, results in hooking or slashing like 90% of the time... regardless of sliders... just wow

What I love is using a hybrid control. When you go to shoot and someone pokes the puck you get called for a penalty. It happens to me literally every time.
Season Mode is UNPLAYABLE. Nothing but repeated slashing penalties. The stick lift button is the SAME AS THE WRIST SHOT BUTTON SO DAMN NEAR EVERYTIME I TRY TO SHOOT THE PUCK OFF A REBOUND I GET A SLASHING PENALTY.
If you try to be quick on a shot rebound in the crease while the puck is in play you slash the defender if they get the puck first. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
PLUS IF YOU BARELY TOUCH THE OFFENSIVE PLAYER IN THE LEGS WITH THE STICK IT IS A TRIPPING PENALTY.
ITS BEEN 48 HOURS SINCE I BOUGHT THIS GAME FROM GAMESTOP SO I CANT GET THE FULL VALUE ANYMORE.
So I am stuck with this POS until they put out a patch for this mess.
Playing BAP, and while I have not gotten one slashing penalty yet - I always poke rather than lift stick - my teammates and the other team seem to get 10-15 slashing penalties a game between them. It is so overdone that special teams seem to play 20 minutes a game - which sucks when I can't get on the PK line because I get hit a lot being a primary puck carrier?
Offline stick lift isn't an issue because you can tune down stick lift penalties. I'm pretty sure the higher you tune stick lift penalties the more it aims at the hands.
I have the same problem. Try to shoot loose puck- slash. Try to shoot one-timer - slash. Try to make NPC shoot the puck - slash. I love NHL and look forqard to it each year but this has ruined it. I cant play it.
