Stick Lift pretty much automatic penalty
Seriously... hitting the X button, even when perfectly positioned, results in hooking or slashing like 90% of the time... regardless of sliders... just wow

- @EA_Aljo You do understand that this is unacceptable, right? We all complain about every little thing but a games' controls literally not functioning as intended is something that needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY. I don't think it's a wild assumption to think that fixing this bug is a trivial programming solution.

Was just in a HUT game. Didn't touch the player or press A. My AI though went for the stick lift. Stick warped around the body but never touched the player and I got a penalty for slashing air. Tried to get video. No instant replay for it available. Tried to go and go back to the 2nd manually when Bogqvist took it but only let me get to the 4rd period. Won the game but that penalty was frustrating! Happened to us in 3's also.

It's always the defense and goalies that have to adjust tho... it's getting super tedious
My friend and I were playing the other day in a dropin and the rest of the humans on our team had quit, as they do. We couldn't even attempt a comeback because our ai players wouldn't quit slashing so we were short handed most of the 2nd half of the game.
I guess the ai is having problems adjusting too.
I know ea doesn't care at all about dropins but it's extremely frustrating that once all the trolls and quitters leave the game then your own AI will sabotage you too.

Does nobody realize that they do this every other year?
One year, poke is insta penalty, the next its lift stick and so on so forth.
Most people here bought this game like 20 times and seem to not notice the most basic trends.They just don't care haven't cared about this series in a long time ,if they did the stick lift and the horrible interference calls of 22 which still happen in 23 would have been fixed already
- @BassMan_PC Regarding the AI passing, there's definitely a learning curve, but I kind of like it. The AI should not be able to hit precision passes on request.
It matters when you're calling for it. You have to pay attention to how his body is positioned, where his momentum is headed and which side of the blade he has the puck on. He's being held to the same rules as a human player.
If you call for a bad pass he throws a bad pass.
Unfortunately this will eventually create another skill gap in online once the patient people figure out the mechanics, but the alternative is the AI once again being an overwhelmingly overpowered tool in a game mode that's intended to be human v human. - Can we get this issue fix every time I try to go for a stick lift and I get a penalty and it Is Frustrates me and I go back and look at the instant replay and the stick does even touch the player but the enemy player Flinches. It seem to be target it the players hand not the stick. Please fix it
