Stuck in "select sides" screen

@EA_Aljo Im not going to lie, you merging my thread titled "EA not addressing issue Publicly" while EA continues to not address the issue on a public platform like twitter; while at the same time promoting new features like crossplay (new features that have come after our issue presented itself and many of us were told by tech support a team was investigating the issue), appears like your aiding EA in not addressing the issue in a public facing way. 

Let me ask you this @EA_Aljo , how likely is it, that our games wont be playable until the next standard update? Additionally will EA only acknowledge the issue once its been resolved? looking forward to hearing back from you. 

Console: Xbox Series X
Reproduction Rate: 100%
Reproduction Steps: Open HUT, Online Versus, Online Shootout and try to start a game. WoC seems to be affected as well. Opening WoC shows all modes "locked"
Gamertag/PSN ID: Sniper1052
All game modes affected: HUT, Online Versus, Online Shootout. World of Chel seems to be affected as well, but instead of select-sides being bugged, every mode appears to be locked in it.

Edit: I see that thread doesn't have any responses so we'll just monitor it for now.

Is there any way we can get HUT compensation for the time missed? I'm assuming we're going to miss HUT Champs this weekend. I usually get 5 HUT Champs collectibles which is worth >100k coins in game. Not to mention, I've already wasted HUT Champs points to register for it.

This. I 100% agree with this post. So annoying 

@EA_Aljo This seems disingenuous...i told you i tried the game on multiple consoles, with different internet connections, off a fresh install of the game, on a factory reset xbox one. How would this not lead one to assume that this is a account related problem. I am as certain a new random would work as i am that mine wouldnt work regardless of console or location. 
 
Again, can you show me where EA is acknowledging the issue publicly? This tweet from less than 24 hours ago has no mention of it, but clearly states "For the first time in chel play against your friends on Playstation and Xbox consoles in the same generation" and "Available in #NHL23 HUT Rush and Ones Eliminator then coming soon to all HUT + WOC Modes!" where is the mention of the issues effecting us and the team actively working on it? 


Again can you answer my questions directly....

question 1. ) Where has Ea addressed the issue publicly and noted they have a team working on it, outside of this forum. 
question 2. ) When can we expect a resolution. 
question 3. ) How likely is it that the fix wont be until the next standard update. 

If you dont answer these questions, I and those who i send here, will assume you are intentially buying time for EA to avoid addressing the issue further.

This is a public forum and it's one of it's main purposes is support. Which, is what we're trying to do here.

Did you happen to try another gamertag or just 2 different consoles. We're actively trying to get this resolved so whatever information you have would help. I'm heading out for the weekend shortly, but I'll ask the team to monitor this thread for new details.

@EA_Aljo And for the record, i just tested for myself, sure enough, a fresh account that has never played NHL 23 before had zero problems logging in, creating a team and starting a hut match. 

Please respond to my earlier post and three questions.

@EA_Aljo If you take a look at my earlier post you can see this is clearly a account related problem... I tried a second account, the second account worked just fine....

I just find it strange that it took me figuring this out, with zero dev experience, when EA (according to tech support) have allegedly had a team investigating this issue and working on it since this tuesday.....

Moving forward, now that we know the issue is account related and nothing can be done from the users end, when can we expect a solution from your end.Looking forward to hearing back from you @EA_Aljo 

...Oh one last thing, i find it confusing that EA sometimes makes references to problems or issues on their twitter (when they are large enough to effect the community at large) like this from less than a week ago on twitter. However when its issues that do not effect the community at large, they never make any reference or acknowledge said issue until after they have been fixed. 

So like i said, now that we know objectively that this is an account related problem, when can we expect a solution and will it be before or after the next standard update.

If you're talking about acknowledging the issue, we've done that here. It's also an issue that appears to be affecting very few players. We're currently working on this, but I can't give you an ETA on when it will be fixed. We need to find the problem, resolve it, test it and push that fix live. Obviously, we all want that to happen as soon as possible and doing all we can to make that happen.

its doesnt seem like you want to answer my questions directly, like i said, will this issue be addressed before or after the next standard update gets pushed out...thats not asking for an ETA...that me asking you, if you and EA are going to continue to sweep this issue under the rug until next tuesdays update. If this is the case, i need to inform the people im speaking on behalf of (over 50+ users experiencing the same issue)... whether or not they should seek out refunds, as many of them have experessed the desire to.

Can everyone please shutdown NHL 23 completely, reboot, and try again?  We suspect that some of you might have the issue resolved.  Please reply with your results.  Thanks.

@NHL_Live_Support Are you actively ignoring our messages or do you think we are stupid? If you read the messages in this thread, you would see we have done literally every type of troubleshooting method... It is clearly an issue on your end with our accounts. As i mentioned earlier today, i tried the game on a different account and it worked without issues, i switched back to my primary account, it continues to not work, i go back to the alt account, it works, i go back to my main, it does not. How much clearer do we need to be? or are you intentionally trying to buy time until tuesday when the update generally goes out. 

@NHL_Live_Support I have tried restarting my xbox fully, unplugging the power cable to my xbox/modem/router. I have tried all troubleshooting steps in this thread but nothing has worked. 

I tried a different account on my xbox and did not get the same result. 

I tried my account on a different xbox and got the same result - I was not able to play a game.

It appears to be an account issue that happened directly after the previous update. 

I am respectfully asking that this be treated with urgency as I have not been able to play any HUT game since Tuesday which has cost me the milestone collectible from HUT challenges, Squad battles, Rivals and Champs rewards altogether. 

@DBacon123  They are just dodging questions and giving basic responses, i bet there is no team actually working on anything, they just hope the issue fixes itself with the next regular update, atleast thats how it feels with how @NHL_Live_Support  and @EA_Aljo  have responded, they asnwer no real questions, ask us to do the same things we've already said we've tried if they actually read our posts, and then ghost us for hours.

@sleander @thestorm2484  look through my convos with @EA_Aljo  and @NHL_Live_Support ... They have gone out of their way to not answer direct questions and they have essentially merged these threads to make the issue appear less significant than it is. Than after running out of ways to waste our time with pointless troubleshooting, when it is apparent the issue is on their end, finally, they ghost us entirely. 

Ive been alluding to this for days now, but I'm pretty confident there is no team actually working on anything. I'm pretty sure this is just an issue they know about and assume will get resolved on its own in the next standard update, which is likely on Tuesday.

They don't respect us enough to actually articulate that though.

Additionally it wouldn't surprise me if following the next update, our accounts fix and a new group of people start experiencing the same issue..those people won't be familiar with all the * we have gone through the last week, these threads will get burried or merged with other irrelevant threads, and become impossible to find for those future players, and they will give them the same run around they gave us for week until the next standard update. Rinse and repeat.... If any of this is not accurate please respond to us @EA_Aljo or @NHL_Live_Support ... You've been ghosting us a for several hours now...
