First, try to really set it up and then send a video of how the game is at arcade speed.
Because the game is realistic even at speed 6. And the other parameters are more important, such as the speed of the player's skating, acceleration, passes, etc. Speed 6 is only for smooth game control and player animation movement this year. Nothing else is faster. Speed 6 is a must on ps4. Maybe it's different on ps5, but I'm not interested.
I will post a video if there are at least 10 users who have the same problem as you 🙂 Trust me, the problem is on your side.

The game speed slider is IMO one of the main problems with the game. I believe it is the cause of the “game speed glitch”. If you aren’t familiar with this glitch, it is a glitch found in offline modes. It’s very evident in Play Now mode. The glitch surfaced around 2015. So for years I’ve been desperately trying to find ways to mitigate it. I only use Play Now, and Playoff Mode. I’ve noticed that’s it’s not as noticeable in Playoff Mode. For years I used game speed 3 as my default. The game speed glitch is so random and there is no pattern. So for example I’d start playing a game and I could immediately notice if the game speed glitch was active, because game speed all of a sudden feels like it’s on 6/6, super fast and very much arcade feel. Id go to slider settings to reconfirm I’m still on 3/6. To get the game speed back to 3/6 I’d have to now set it on 0/6. Then randomly I’d play another game with slider still on 0/6 and the game is slow as a turtle (as it should be on 0/6) so I’d up it to 3/6 and it would play as intended. This constant battle back and forth went on for years. I skipped NHL 22. Played NHL 21. I purchased NHL 23 hoping the game speed glitch would be gone with the Frost Bite engine. I was very disappointed to see the same old glitch still there. So this is now how I try and mitigate the glitch. In Play Now mode I keep the game speed slider on 0/6. My default skating acceleration and speed is usually around 40/40. When the game speed glitch is active I turn skating speed and acceleration to 30/30. I find by keeping the game speed slider on 0/6 in Play Now mode it helps keep the glitch at bay but it’s not 100%. My goal is to try and achieve a 100% NHL simulation.
I tried game speed at 6/6 with skating speed/acceleration on 30/30 and IMO the player animations were WAY to fast making it feel like an arcade hockey game.
@Tier1SOFOperator30/30 is too much. try 29/29 as in my description. it is a huge different.
Yes I know this glitch. It was first. Nhl23 is the first hockey without this glitch on my ps4. Only if 29/29 + speed 6 is instaled.

if you change anything from 1 side description the gane is unstable. for example if you change penalties somehow it can be laser show.
Yes the problem is in hand of programmers. I had only lucky day with this combination of sliders. it works over 100 matches now. no glitch, no acceleration, no cpu cheat.
