I've been playing since launch and I can count on one hand with fingers left over the number of goals I've seen called back due to goalie interference. And it's no like goalie interference doesn't happen, it's just not called.
Here's an example. A nothing shot the goalie should be able to handle ends up in the net because the shooter runs the goalie. Goalies in NHL 23 are bad enough without goals like this being allowed.

I just came to post this and searched first and saw yours. Thank you for the video too. I see this ALLLLLL the time. It was being called too much so they just removed the feature. You can’t run a goalie in hockey and score, why is it allowed? Because these cry babies can’t handle not being able to cheese this game. Incredible this has been happening for at least a year.

This isn't anything new to this year, but it ties into goalie interference and the discrepancy between what leeway offensive players are given vs defensive players. Basically the offensive player's shooting animation completely ignores the fact that he's clipping through the goalie and allows him to shoot the puck. It's frustrating that offense is allowed to ignore clipping in situations like this, but on defense if any part of my stick even slightly touches another player I can't interact with the puck at all.
I've had 3 goals called off for goalie interference when I never even touched the goalie, this week alone.
I'm not joking. Looked at all 3 replays and there was ZERO contact with the goalie.
