Why is nobody complaining about the hitting bubble?

Another defensive wash this year and we have hit December with no word on any changes that may or may not be coming. Holding the puck on your backhand while absorbing a hit and maintaining puck possession at the same time is game breaking in my opinion. I have been going for less hits and more pokes, but do I even want to get into how there's no force to pokes anymore and poked pucks are grabbed by the offensive player again almost immediately. Meanwhile, because I initiated a poke in the first place, I have no speed to stay in the play and I get blown by anyway.
