I would love to see NHL on PC for sure but as stated before, sadly it comes with allot of costs but if it would be marketed correctly, i think it would sell... cus there is no competition in the fieald, and how you could know it will sell or not? How do you generate Data from what???
there are no Hockey games on PC last one you released in 2008
You can see how good Tape to Tape sales are, its the newest Hockey game on PC its in Early access at the moment, and its small indie game with funky graphics, freaking roguelike Hockey game, i think even you don't know it exists.
The truth is there is no data unless you go back to 2009, which would just be moronic... And once again people keep bringing up "costs", as if this isn't some arbitrary thing when talking about EA. Let's look at the numbers (if we can find them.) It's safe to assume the costs to produce Fifa every year are in the 10s of millions, which may sound like a lot... but when you factor in that EA makes BILLIONS, (1.62 billion to be exact for FY2021), it doesn't even matter. They easily 100x their money every year and that number is only going to go up. Not producing NHL for PC because of "costs" is a lazy take by the devs and community managers.
EAs ultimate team modes have been highly profitable for the company. By not producing an NHL game for PC, EA is missing out on even more potential revenue stream from PC gamers who may be interested in participating in ultimate team modes specific to NHL. Even if it somehow loses them money by producing the game for PC (it wont) the decision may be viewed as a lack of effort to maximize their earnings and capitalize on the success of their other UT modes. Not to mention they would make their money back when you look at how much money they generate across all the UT modes across all of their games on all of the different platforms.
If you need to get that hockey itch scratched & don't have a console Tape to Tape and Slapshot Rebound are both great hockey games for the PC, they still pale in comparison to NHL however.
To reiterate my point it's just pure laziness.

If NHL had the popularity of FIFA, there would be a PC version.

if EA wasn't actively trying to tank their NHL game, it'd be more popular

Using your logic, NBA Live should still be being made then. Oh wait.

Hey!
like I wrote before, the fanbase to get nhl for pc is very big even outside the US. Usually the game release to console is in September/October, a big argument from EA is that a pc version won’t be possible due to the time it will take away from the making of the console version. So why don’t release the pc version in lets say February instead?
to prove both to EA and to the pc players, why don’t release a demo version for free or for a small amount of money on steam. To see if people are buying it, if they don’t buy don’t do a full version, but if they do you will see how many pc players there actually are out there. It doesn’t need to be a big demo, just two teams In a quick play.
I wouldn’t hurt you to try, would it?
or team up with another developer to do the pc version.
I really hoping for an NHL game to pc..
