The player base may be getting smaller by the year but 270 updoots is practically nothing to EA, no matter how persistent; gotta increase that 1,000x at least if you wanna get their attention.
The problem is there are too many small groups of 3 or 4 people crying out - I don't know how but the PC crowd needs to condense their efforts into just 1 or 2 huge posts/voices crying out for change - something they simply can't ignore
@TTZ_DipsyErm..first off that thread was just a general discussion related to EA NHL license on the NHL subreddit, so 200 upvotes is only indicative of the relative popularity of that sub during this time of year as it was the top hot topic. If anything it shows the general popularity of EA NHL on this subreddit.
Secondly, I just wanted to demonstrate that whenever EA NHL discussion topics are made on general NHL forums there are a disproportionate amount of comments asking for NHL on PC.
You will never get a "5 million mega petition rally cry" for something like NHL on PC just like you wouldn't for say Crash Team Racing on PC. That doesn't necessarily speak to an unmet demand for the product though.

EA doesn't own the NHL license the same way they do Madden so anyone is free to make their own if they so choose. Cutting EA out at this point just means no large scale hockey for anyone.
I think it's great you're trying to champion/advocate a PC version; the community needs more people like you - Sure you get random comments on any post saying PC PC PC, but the amount of people laughing how the game sucks drown y'all out like 50:1.
Is the entire playerbase even at 1 million at this point? It's dying overall; I think a PC version will take a chunk out of the console community and do even more damage but thats just me (cause lets face it, with PC comes mods and every console player will cry foul when PCers get a win).
We're gonna have to figuratively and virtually shake hands and agree to disagree on this mate, I really do believe your only option is to unify your voice, and even then it's a long shot cuz we still don't even have Bloodborne at 60fps </3

1 competition is what is needed in the world to make everything better and evolve. i would not feel sorry for ea one bit if someone came in and started making hockey games and took away from ea based on all ea has done for us.
2. let me get this straight before i lol. you are saying that all the complaints about how bad the game is or how broken certain aspects are of the game are a priority for ea? i dont mind being the advocate for this. i like many others love hockey and would be super excited to be able to play it again. consoles are over, its the pc era now.
3.how would it take a chunk out? you are saying they will buy it on pc and that doesnt count for anything? you will grow your customer base by simply porting and creating cross play. dont add any new features this year just give us pc and cross play and watch how big the community can get. when you are one of 4 active teams on xbox or one of 2 active teams on playstation and can only play the other active teams its kinda boring. when you have cross play that will keep the game alive alot longer.
4. i mean you guys could hire better or more developers to to achieve performance goals.
