I really wish this would come to PC. nice fan base here.

All I know is I want NHL on PC. Been having the same arguments for 10+ years now. Tired of debating. I just want the game on PC.

This shows me that you’ve never owned a gaming PC cause it would actually be better on PC as we’d have the option to adjust to the issues by changing settings… also there’s a fair amount of lag already on your high and mighty console each year which has yet to be fixed… lastly the HUGE reason NHL won’t come to PC is cause as of right now EA and as many of us see are using a copy n paste method in which if it were on PC we’d just be able to port in new rosters and photos for the next season instead of buying a complete new game for no apparent reason to have updated rosters…

There absolutely is a market on PC for sports titles. It's being grossly underserved.FIFA 23 and PGA Tour 2K23 are the only major PC sports titles that have Gen 9 feature parity. Madden NFL 23 and NBA 2K23 are half-assed Gen 8 ports. The NHL, UFC, and MLB The Show series don't get ports at all. I'm convinced that EA is shipping their upcoming PGA Tour game on PC only because 2K is. EA refuses to say whether the new College Football game is coming to PC at all, when they could confirm that at any time.Do you seriously expect PC players to buy this year's inferior products to "prove their support" without any promise that next year's products will reach full parity with the Gen 9 versions? Or will they get canceled for "poor sales" because we voted with our wallets and refused to buy their inferior products? EA, 2K, and Sony are not entitled to one thin dime of our business. They have to earn it by shipping better PC games.

You'd be adding more players to online/EASHL/Ult team. 2. You're getting the game on handheld/PC with Steam Deck and other variants. 3. NHL/Madden/Fifa make their money from micro transactions. It's why by December games typically drop to 30 dollars eventually going F2P on EA Access for 5 dollars a month. Game sales are almost irrelevant. It adds value to the 15 dollar a month PC EA Access Premium. 4. Lock the game to controller input and don't worry about KB&M. Many games do this. 5. Build the game for PC first as it's easier to port from PC to console. Then vice versa. Both consoles are close to midrange PCs in spec. If an indie developer can port a game with crossplay why can't EA? Ultimately if the game reaches more sales via ult team/Game sales this grows the game. More money = more resources toward development. I'm tired of the same excuse year after year. "It's to expensive", "it's resource draining", "NHL doesn't make enough money". Make a good game, make it crossplay with all next gen consoles, get it on Steam deck/variants, Give the people what they want. He'll charge 80 for the PC version if that's what it takes. Been on here for 8 years asking for a PC port with thousands of others. My group of gaming buddies are also waiting for this but don't speak up on it. Every year is another disappointment.

@TTZ_Dipsy No they can't. EA's previous deal ended around 2020 from the 15yr deal they had signed. But they had signed another deal.

"Financial terms of the renewal were not disclosed. Asked for information about the extension’s length, an NFL representative confirmed to Polygon that the new contract runs for six years “starting today,” taking the agreement through May 2026."

Ah ok, I always assumed there was a Madden brand exclusivity, but not for NFL itself. As far as I know though, there is no NHL exclusivity so anyone can make one if they wanted

@TTZ_Dipsy EA has lots of the Soccer world on lockdown which drove PES at the time out of competition even though they made an amazing soccer playing game. And yeah the NFL license got picked up extremely fast because 2K was becoming amazingly popular. 2K had responded by getting exclusive deal with MLB and thus killed the MVP Baseball series for awhile. Also it was a reason when NHL was making the outdoor arenas they couldn't use the baseball stadium one because 2K had the rights.

That's an intriguing development actually. It signals that Madden was developed for PC/PS/XB rather than being developed for PS/XB and ported to PC.
It's a small distinction, but actually quite an important one and might point to one of the features Frostbite. The ability to develop with PC in mind versus developing and then porting.

I play Madden, and NBA2k, both on PC. I do not own a console because they cannot even come close to a PC so your horrible logic is flawed.

Madden is on PC, FIFA is on PC, NBA2K is on PC, MANY racing games on PC. PC is superior to any console on the market, and yes we have superior controllers too.

guessing their worried that if they put a title out on pc and modders get their hands on it...the mods will correct a noticable amount of ai issues within the game and then nobody will buy another title like our friends still on NHL 2004....one decent pc release and theyll never get another pc purchase. not worth it.

People said the same thing about madden. It still gets released on a yearly basis for the PC now. I don't think that's as big of an issue as people make it out to be.

@rsandersr47 I'm not so sure, and like I said, they already 1000x (probably more) their money every release based on UT alone. I would bet the money from FUT alone more than triples the production costs for all 3 platforms combined.
