WOC Drop-In State
EASHL Drop in community: What should be done to change the drop in system that is currently in the game? Current state in my opinion: -Too many quits which leads to too many AI in a game you were ...
@jrago73so my response to this feels like this is coming from past NHL experience and not the most recent games
1. I wouldn't say boring and predictable as much as I will say positionally sound vs a team of randoms playing drop in.
2. I have played at least 100 drop in games and have seen I think one instance where the goalie did this.
3A. Again haven't seen many instances of multiple fights happening in a game.
3B. This I can 100% agree with as I have seen plenty of Enforcer 6'7" 270 that just murder people whether it be legal or not. Latest game had one guy in the box for over 20min. How can you enjoy almost a full period waiting is my question?
The jersey thing I think is fine but does need some branding or logo change so you can fully tell the difference between which team you are. I remember in the past using jerseys caused problems when people didn't want to wear away and changed their jersey to home and that made for issues. As for the arena, to me its supposed to feel like pond/pickup hockey so that's fine. Which is why I said make it like pond and shorten the game time dramatically.
The rest I can agree with though to an extent. Either way some thing needs to change.
I'm guessing you're a Playstation guy?
I'm on xbox.
There are 2-3 fights most games, usually for no reason during the faceoff.
The goalie trolling tends to be most popular around release and Christmas time.
The ai plays more sound but they will also react to you the exact same way in the same situation every time, if that's not boring and predictable I don't know what is.
The pond stuff I understand your side, that part is just personal preference for people.
It would also help if getting into a 6v6 (or 5v5) game didn't often take 2-4 trips through the lobby between not filling up, getting dropped or people quitting because only one team has a goalie etc. But other than the lobby crashes those aren't really under EA's control.
Can goalie fights just be taken out of the game..? Like seriously, you almost never see a goalie fights, then the RW get punished for it... (Which is what I play). That's just my opinion, also it slows the game down unnecessarily. IMO
Absolutely NO XP LOSS to those of whom have stayed and watched their entire human-based team quit, regardless of what caused those people to quit, and regardless of what online mode that you're in. This should have never been implemented, ever.
If you're playing random games, pause/time out and watch people abandon the "sinking ship". Overly reactive vs patience. The former is far more common, especially in today's PvP.
It's not really surprising seeing so many people quit out of drop-ins because they ultimately don't matter. If there was a reason to stay and compete, I'm sure there'd be a lot less trolling and stuff
