I was reminded tonight why we stopped playing back in December lol - The defenceman does nothing and the goalie... like seriously wow its embarrassing haha.
People will always seek out exploits but if the movement and D is tight, it shouldn't really be an issue

And it's meant to be a bad experience because AI shouldn't challenge humans in a mode that is built for all humans playing. It was one of the NHLs back on the PS360 era that was so great at scoring from anywhere that people cried and had them nerfed. HUT esport players had asked for defense nerfs because of "skillzoning". So the defense we have today is for those reasons.

I'd wager 2 and 3 man teams make up the vast majority of EASHL so they need to do a better job of balancing the AI - I don't want them superhuman or even just OK; I simply want them at a minimal state where they aren't a hindrance (this will trickle into every mode too so it would help the game as a whole).
Like, I get your point but human goalie controls are atrocious, defence hasn't been balanced in a decade, and 6 humans talking over eachother in a party? Yucky.
- KlariskraysNHL2 years agoHero+@TTZ_Dipsy Idk about you but when I'm playing 6s we all having a good time win or lose. 90% of the time we aren't even talking about the game til we need to. Like last night we were making fun of 1 of our friends who is a Maple Leaf fan..
But what is an AI that is considered good enough but not great or bad?
I actually don't have problems playing goalie. It's mostly about the team in front of you playing defense. Any game you finish with an 80% or higher save is like a win in 6s. I had ideas for simple goalie controls for things like hugging posts and such where LB hugs Left post and RB hugs right post but nothing ever came of it.
