@rsandersr47IMO the golds need to be removed. Also the requirements to use the silvers needed raised greatly.
Also I'm not sure about caps. People hate feeling gatekept in the gaming world. Also I don't think lower players would go over well since well they would claim why should they be punished for others.
I had made a setup last year about how there should be 3 X-Factor slots. But there is a Bronze, Silver, Gold version of them depending on how much points you invest into them. Like for example my Close Quarters
Bronze - Wrist Shot Accuracy 80 Puck Control 82
Silver - WSA 82 PC 84
Gold - WSA 85 PC 87
But since we don't really know the hidden things behind X-Factors it makes things hard. Like is it a % modifier or just extra stats in a stat that is hidden or what?
As for the nerfing some X-Factors we know they should be in both Gold and Silver versions. Close Quarters, One Tee, Truculence, Unstoppable Force, Elite Edges, and Backhand Beauty (it's amazing if you know)
@KlariskraysNHL Yeah, actually backhand beauty I've never used haha but the rest are really good. I am one of the few that doesn't hate truculence, and that's only because I feel defense gets the short end of the stick 4/5 years and need some nice boosts.
I agree with your other points but tbh something needs done because the game is stale. I would rather see them implement changes like this, people throw out new suggestions to help make the community happy and involved and keep moving forward. Like I said 2k changes the way you allocate attribute points and badges every year, as well as how fast/ long you can build a guy. EA won't get it right the first year but take a chance and then improve upon it. If not, i think the player base will continue to dwindle. Imo I think more people would stick around/ play more if they saw player development.

- @rsandersr47 When it comes to WoC I just feel we aren't the group that gets the most feedback taken into account. Hell I'd even take FIFA's route of leveling up our pro players. Where wining games and leveling up awards us points to invest in how we want to build our player more. Something like if you play 2k+ games you can max out your player to a 93. Obviously the NHL community would probably sour on that saying they don't have time for it but that shouldn't be EA's problem to deal with.
I still want an item catalog so we can buy cosmetics and such from playing the game. While also having some monthly ones that are gone after the month for new ones.
Imagine if we could get a cosmetic where after scoring a goal we get announcers saying something like a nickname we unlocked "Omg the Big Kahuna with a beauty goal". Teams could unlock special intros/outros (for winning at home)
There is a ton of stuff they could do for more engaging stuff to feel like we are doing things. Unlocking the same stupid X-Factors each new iteration is not fun and it's just stupid imo.- @KlariskraysNHL 1000% agree with all of that.. I've never played FIFA but that sounds good. I just have no fun grinding in this game. Especially after the year before and the year before that and the year before that all grinding to get the same handful of things I want to have for my player. Like you said, give me the catalog. Then have me save up to buy a new arena or something.. I just hate the excuse some people give "what else do you want in a hockey game" then you look at a game like 2k and just how far it has gone. I mean obviously gameplay needs to be the major focus but we act like EA doesn't have the resources to work on gameplay and other things. This is not a small company.. the fact we get 1-3 changes a year would have you believing they have 3 devs working on this for 3-4 months out of the year. I don't know that much about programing but I see lots of teams from small companies upgrading their games at a faster pace.
@rsandersr47 Here is just a small tidbit of it. But as you can see there are categories that do things like improve certain stats and the ones towards the bottom allow for special things like say 5 star moves aka dekes for NHL. So you pick the build you want and it comes with stats that are pretty great on how the position should be. Height and weight play a good part in player stats for like speed, accel, endurance, etc. So in a way all the builds can access the same stuff but it won't mean getting them as say a defender would be a smart choice.
