Loaded game no problems, logged into NHL 23, opened packs in HUT then went to set team up and crashed with Error “failed to retrieve data”. Closed game and restart, will not let me open the team menu in HUT without crashing, also freezes when trying to start a game spinning puck with message cleaning the ice. managed to play Rush but had problems opening pack from rewards, again would randomly crash with the error above. system- Xbox X

@S1lv3rfoxz If the error keeps happening, can you also try to use a different team name?

Yeah, I keep getting errored over and over ever since I complained earlier and I don’t know if EA is doing it on purpose or whatever but I keep hitting the button reset in the game and finally lets me in but now every rivals game I play is a black screen. Starting to drive me insane because every time I squad battles game, I end up with a black screen and have to reset then same thing black screen get a loss again. Only this time you can’t replay it because you already paid one time for the 500 credits for the first black screen.

Hey @Trisixty66 @DirtyJersey420 @S1lv3rfoxz To confirm are you on a Xbox one X or Series X?

Also when you have a moment can you try going through the following?

Full Close the game, Restart your console, relog into the game.

Close other running games or apps, (for Series X|S also close others running in quick resume)

Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check

Check for updates

Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides

Open you're Xbox NAT Type

Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)

Persistent Storage

Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray

Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage

Alternate Mac:

Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings

Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear

Select restart

Such a waste of a game. I saved up 110$ for this and I cant even play HUT. Straight up ridiculous.
