Every time (100%)Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? start a game in be a pro and franchise or any offline mode, and let the game go AFK, in the tell screen comes up, when the controllers light goes out, grab the controller and press the middle button and make sure you have 3-4 other controllers present but not active or activated, you see red, blue, green, yellow, controllers, now try to activate it and controllers won't activate or play in the game, but pause screen movement will work, but soon go into the game your character won't move a dead controller, literally press wireless receptor on controller and console and go to controller screen it won't work and you'll see your controller icon has shifted somehow to different controller color, now button mashing, etc... What happens when the bug occurs? controller won't work, multiple different colored controller profiles, all because 3-4 other controllers present when they aren't active, dead controller in gameplay, button mashing, and then suddenly works.What do you expect to see? please fix it cause I really wanna use my Xbox series x elite version 2 controller without having to worry about it not working when am gone for 5-15 minutes.Was the issue in online or offline mode? @SuperGoalies Happens in NHL 22/23 as well. I have had this bug with normal controller as well as elite series 1 and 2 controllers. Ghost controllers will randomly appear while playing the game and it causes a significant amount of input lag

@SuperGoalies I have exactly the same problem, I usually solve it by briefly plugging in the cable and then unplugging it again and then I can choose the side, but that the problem has existed for two years is really sad, especially for such a large company like EA

I am still having issues with the controller right now when it goes afk 5-15 minutes and you come back to play it, it'll disconnect and turn off and come back to play the controller will freeze but the main menu works when it is in the game goalie stops moving or player, whatever mode I play, this could happen in Online and Offline, It literally froze at controller screen, took me while to get it to work again, inadequate capability with NHL 23 Xbox series elite version 2 controller folks.

@SuperGoalies I have another temporary solution, if it comes with the page selection screen and you have turned on the controller before doing so, turn it off via the Xbox menu and press it again, then you can use the controller to switch to a page again, must also say what is very bad and annoying when this problem occurs online you have no possibility to change anything and you will be kicked out of the game because of inactivity.
