Yep, EA forgot to add retired numbers off option to custom league franchise..

Nice. Too bad we can't switch off retired numbers in Custom Franchise Mode otherwise we could actually have Gretzky wearing his real number as well... It's possible in the regular franchise mo...

The year is 2027 and EA release their feature trailer for NHL 28: "We heard your feedback and we worked hard for this new feature. Coming in NHL 28 - Ability to add retired numbers in custom leagues"
