ATTENTION ALL MODS
The system of suspending and/or banning accounts is absolutely broken and killing the community.
I will not go into the finite details of my recent ban, although it was completely non-sensical and violated no part of the player charter, appealing the specific ban is not the point of this post. I will use it as an example to highlight my concerns and address the processes in place.
My personal player account was banned for a club name. I appealed; the bots who reviewed gave a canned answer that "my account was actioned correctly".
1) If someone is breaking a rule it would seem to me that it behooves all parties to understand what and/or how the rule was broken. Your current methodology does neither.
2) How is banning a player account a remedy to a club name (this part gets better keep reading)?
- Though my account was banned the club name was not forced to be changed
- The club was actually allowed to continue playing
- Even now once my WEEK ban (for a first offense) is over, the club's name cannot be changed and is still in existence!
3) If you are going to say something violates the player charter, how do you then not create a pathway to remedy that violation?
4) I was the club creator, nothing I can do will change the fact my name is listed as such (including leaving the club). So, am I just to get continually banned for something I cannot change? Especially something that as I mentioned did not actually violate any portion of the player charter. As a side note we have used this exact name since NHL 19.
As another example to the ridiculousness of this process. A friend was banned because his skater's name was Mike Vick. A guy who is FEATURED on other EA products and was the cover athlete for one of the seasons of Madden Ultimate team this year and using his name violates the EA Player Charter?!?!?
As a 30 year EA customer I'm begging you MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!
