Changing lines using Hybrid controls

Hi, 

I am trying to change lines in NHL 24 like the way I did it in 23. I play on Xbox one and would hit x or b to change the lines and then continue to press those buttons to get the line I would want in the game. 

in 24, even with switching to skill stick, the lines won’t change. The screen comes up during the game but it looks grey out or frozen. 

Please advise if there is something I need to do.

    I was in IT for 27years before I retired. One thing I noticed was software engineers in general screw some things up while thinking its new and improved. Obviously this is the case if the manual line changes don't work on muliple platforms I've had video games since Atari and its the same old story.

    Are you using Skill Stick or Hybrid controls? For Skill Stick, manual line changes are made with the X and B/Circle and Square buttons. For Hybrid controls, use the D pad..

    Skill Stick. The buttons on Xbox One give no responses when pressed. and the faceoff happens so quickly you can hardly look down. You know it would be beneficial to the users if they put the controls in the training section rather than just the basic, how to shoot a slap shot etc. I've had NHL at least since 1994 as I recall but maybe before that? Anyhow, thanks for the note.
