PS trying to play Xbox friend same generation in any sort of versus mode - don’t want to play together that we have already figured out. How to play against each other???
As already mentioned, there is no cross play for Online Versus. Hopefully, we'll get this added in a future game. Currently, your best bet is to match up against each other in HUT through a private game.

Cross play is only CHEL and HUT. I think that is as those modes connect to EA servers while online versus is peer to peer.
it is super dumb, idk why they don’t have cross play in online versus.
Your only option is to both create HUT teams and do it that way.
Trying this weekend as can’t invite by user name so will try with HUT team name maybe that will do it
even private 3 v 3 would be fun and don’t understand why this isn’t a problem in NFL but is is NHL
