Franchise Mode Player Editing
1. Year after year this is an issue for EA and Specifically EA NHL. Why can we still not edit players in franchise mode? This makes zero sense at all. Almost every other sports game lets you do this in the franchise mode equivalent, but not EA NHL. There is no point in having an offline mode have features locked as it only ruins the experience of an already lacking and hard-to-enjoy mode. Changing stats should be something you're allowed to do in franchise mode as well as changing positions and player types. this is most important with generated players who come out with random nonsensical attributes, positions, and player types.
2. Generated players also shouldn't have greyed-out pictures as that takes away immersion and fun. MLB The Show, NBA 2k, Madden, and EAFC, all have generated faces displayed instead of a greyed-out picture. On that topic, we should be able to fully edit generated players, meaning face, hair, body, etc. These are things that the community and I have been asking for for years.
3. We can already edit rosters why prevent us from doing so in franchise? That's a quick patch right there. Grey-out faces might not be possible with a patch which is understandable but going forward this should be a problem that gets fixed. I am tired of seeing this type of post on these forums, Reddit, and everywhere else every year.
4. Franchise mode as a whole needs a complete revamp. Features keep getting removed and not replaced becoming evidently more clear that this mode or player base is not respected or cared for. Why do we not have better contracts? Things like no-trade-clauses and protected picks, or a nice little lottery drawing like NBA 2k instead of just a pop-up window letting you know who won. It's understandable that these franchise changes can not be done overnight but given the time in which franchise mode has changed very little and the only changes that happen seem to be getting rid of features, I believe it's time to start adding new things and old things back. Credit where credit is due though the coaching additions were very nice and have improved yearly. I do not wish to be hateful of the EA NHL team but my frustrations with this franchise I grew up loving have started to boil over. I know that this team can make a great game and I hope this feedback is received well and considered.
