Gameplay

Hello. First I would like to state that I have been a long time player of the nhl franchise. I would say I started in 2001 range of buying the game or getting it as a gift. I’ve had my ups and downs with this franchise but every year I would buy it on release date. I stopped playing the game in 2023 around Christmas time and not from not having success. I was an elite in club play but nobody was having fun like we used to playing this franchise. I stopped and I just started to try and play again on January 2 2025. All I can say is it’s January 8th and I have had enough already. And now let’s go over the problems that ea never does or changes things but not for the better.

1. I own a pc. I own a ps5 and want to be able to play on pc like any other game. Now I haven’t played for over a year. I get the game and I am a level 2. I am playing with a group of friends that decided to try game and bought it on a discount price as well so they were level 2. We go to club play and our third game in we match up against elite players on a club. Nice match making for this to happen. Well we thought it’s a one time thing. Nope next game now against diamond ranked players. For this to happen is a joke. Talking to my 14 year nephew that says he is done playing since him and his buddies are like div 7 and not very good but keep getting matched up in tilted matchups makes it non fun for them as well. Fix this asap. 
2. The way people hold onto the puck. You get in front of them and your character takes the puck but hands it right back is so awesome. How in great position and cause someone has a big build and now can’t at least bump them off the puck. Can’t poke check cause you will trip them and can’t stick lift cause you will slash them. So the skate around making you have to chase or just keep them on the outside and then it’s a snooze fest. So fix your crappy way of hitting. And everything else please and once and for all. 
3. Glitch goals. Yay. We all learn them but how about an new update every month and make it so goalies adjust to how the goals are going in and now we got to figure out new ways to score. 
4. No skill. One touch buttons for dekes. Makes the game in playable. People can’t do dekes with skill stick. Come on. If you can’t then learn them. But one touch buttons for dekes and hits is a joke. EA must know that but you did it anyway. Change this back once and for all. Worry about the game of bounces. Ai. Match making. Skating mechanics. Passing. Shooting. Making modes more exciting. But nope let’s change to one button dekes. Hits and ruin the game. 
So I am assuming this game is at some of its lowest level of gameplay and even your YouTubers are thinking the game is trash and needs fixing. I know I payed 40 bucks and wish I could have my money back. I know the group of friends that would play are done until changes. I work in a field with 300 employees and lots of young workers that game and nhl is starting to go down on anyone’s list of playing. So start listening to your customers. Start caring or start to run this franchise completely in the ground and ruin my favourite sport and the one game I’ve always loved. If you don’t care then please sell it off to a company that does care and that will care so we can go back to playing this game.
