Hello, NHL Fans. The change that was made in last week's update regarding the accelration with hitting being removed, was reverted.

@EA_Aljo is it more 'realistic' or less 'arcadey' to be 5'8 160 and accelerate full tilt into 6'4 220+ defensemen without needing hospital attention? I thought so. It isn't a secret EA has favored the dipsy-doodle ADHD playstyle to an overwhelming degree. There's almost no repercussion for taking huge physical risks in game because injuries hardly do anything. The meta is being as tiny and quick as possible for a reason. The hitting can look ridiculous because it's representative of the average EA NHL forward's hockey IQ and you aimed to provide these people yet another crutch. You guys mapped the michigan to a button press but defensemen lunging at incoming forwards is too arcadey? You people seriously needed this reality check to get your priorities in order.

They created so many problems for themselves by trying to "reinvent" hitting this year. The fact that they couldn't find a middle ground is so EA, one extreme or the other.

We removed the speed boost, but the community was very upset about it. So, it seems there are a lot of people enjoying this.

If this is true, than I really don't want to know what next game will look like :D There are lot of people who are upset with this hitting nonsense ..
Maybe there is no need to remove speedbost completely. After january tuner the gameplay was just fine even with speedboost. So maybe some balance?
Also as I mentioned earlier in online play total controls players are in obvious advance with this speedboost compared to skill stick players now. So maybe some fair play?
Last patch just messed up whole game (goalies sucks more, more glitch moves and goals ...).

@EA_Aljo It's enjoyed by those people who can't defend themselves other than charge speed hits . in this state of the game you don't need any skill level just press charge boost thats all ... this game needs a balance .

@b0dlak @EA_Aljo yes game just rewards players whos just hit and shoot the puck from everywhere no skill needed🤢🤢thats no realistic to have that acceleration /speed boost everytime u go hit..
Community is 50/50 about this hitting so can u please balanced this hitting?

There shouldn't be a speed up or slow down to the hitting mechanics in general. NHL 23 hitting was fine if they toned it down a bit. We these mechanics I don't think there is a fix. Who knows maybe they can find a balance. This game would be great if it had 23 hitting.
I liked the slower gameplay with the tuner that killed hitting, I think they should have tried an aim assist to it before reversing it and if that didn't work just chalk it up and reverse it back.
