Hitting while trying to shoot

Every time the puck comes my way in the offensive zone and I want to shoot, more times than not my player decides to throw his arms up and try to hit the other team.

come on EA lets get this fixed

There's a lot to complain about but the unwanted checks is just the icing on the cake. Especially when you take a cross checking penalty lol. Wouldn't be suprised if elbowing was in the game too. Pucks in front other player is behind you just try to hammer it home real quick and here comes the interference.

  • This needs to be fixed and I know a lot of other people are frustrated by this as well, and it’s really only a problem in EASHL where you control your own player. There is no way to try and hit in a loose puck in front of the net or take a one timer with a defender near you without getting an interference penalty. I don’t know if there needs to be a button that you need to hold down while getting ready to shoot to cancel hitting or what, but this needs to be addressed. Not every goal can be a clean catch and release.

Just from experience I know left trigger does not stop it from happening. I believe it's 100% the new hitting system making it happen. The entire right stick seems off to me. Idk

the game has a ready-made solution that just needs to be done. LB + RS down - get ready for one-timer. If the throw is automatic after preparation, this will solve the problem. Nobody needs a manual throw.

In addition, you can do LB + RS up - stop and prepare to redirect

A manual 1t is great and all but most of the time this happens you aren't sitting around for an expected 1t. Youre in the crease trying to smash in the loose puck but you hit the defenseman behind you. Like I stated for myself I have noticed that I still try to shove players even when using vision control and manual 1Ts should not have to be the "answer" if you are trying to shoot a pass you see coming across as you want to get a quick shot off because that leaves no room for a manual one. Just last night I took a penalty beause I was coming across the slot to fire a shot but because the puck got poked loose before the game registered my shot I ended up hitting someone instead. Manual 1t isn't going to fix that situation either.
