This game mode is so unbalanced and exploitable. IMO they is zero chance of players to fully enjoy this game unless spending $1000 is something you can afford. The fact you can buy your team is great but it’s totally not balanced. %20 of my games are worth my time overall. i mean exploitable because of common glitches which result in unfair play. Holding L2 the entire time you skate plus protect puck and strong checker. Please people wake up how do you find this fun repeatedly? TOTY cards are out and everyone rushing to get them kids asking their moms and dads, grown players spending hard earn cash. I ask them all for what? People just play ranked on all stars save your money HUT is probably the most toxic game mode I’ve ever played. Corner camping is a real deal even in hockey. I’m not mad just pointing the obvious too many people can’t handle it I can because I love hockey. I feel people also notice these but stay quiet and suffer in silence. I only want a game that’s fun for everyone, EA I’m disappointed. I will end hut because it’s pay to win and it’s completely obvious how you cater the game. Free cards are great, but there’s %80 more ways to buy your team. I hope I’ve helped someone take care.

My team could be better if I had been playing Rivals but I refuse to play it because of some of the points you made.

Everyone I'd recommend downloading a free play casino app. This game is very much a sports based version which is way more interactive. At its core the mechanics of how it generates revenue is 100% similar.This game in my opinion has transitioned from a game based on physics into a playable casino game

Just saying i would like a game that i can control. Don’t you have moments while playing where you feel like you battling the opponent plus the game engine?

Syns and Abilities are not better than SkillInstead of TotY McDavid, buy his 94ovr TotW, which is massively cheaper.It was known when the TotY event will be relesed, everyone had almost 4 months to save resources, especially people who don't spend money should do this.And again, TBs should be the most expensive and best cards in HUT, yet the 93s have less impact than the 90s... as they are not better except for size.Aucoin is better than Salo, Modano is better than Nash.It has never been so easy to get a god squad without money.don't waste your gold on rerolls and save all nhl golds (74-81) for TBs and all non nhl golds (74-81) for 66/99Money is only for the people who have no time or are too lazy^^

Just gonna say I enjoy champs mode but same story. Pay to win ruins the mode cuz you could be matched up to any div player. If I play rivals games can be even but with higher div players owning all the highest cards it's an instant loss and waste of time in champs. I feel more like I'm at the casino than playing a game. My first line is 91/90/89 but vs 93/92/92 the game is already over within 5 min. The speed difference is no where close and can't be shut down. On top of that an exaggeration of cheap exploits as mentioned in op. On some level I understand that champs is champs but if it wasn't pay to win I'm 100% sure my matchups are more fun and worth my time.

I’ve crafted a big overalls too but still fall way short to players who buy there entire team.
The player based who spends are justified for there own reasons which I’m ok with. This issue is how unbalance the game is overall.

IMO the match making is the biggest issue what ever the code is to determine matches based on skills overalls, divs, cards etc. The game seems to pre determine outcomes even right in the first period.
Come on people wake up! First period your opponent is completely on god mod and you can’t do anything ask yourself how’s that possible? The game has already made the code and you have lost the code already. Which means everything goes to a loss for you. You battle the entire game maybe score a few, come back but maybe lose in ot.
You lose! Been there?

I just want a fun game that isn’t decided by factors that are unknown.

You’re right, people also forget the added synergies make a mistake. All the Toty card have play 3 each slot. So buying all 12 now maxes out everything. How’s that far to non paying players?

There are a dozen or more Influencers with videos on building "No Money Spent" teams and they're all rocking "God Squads."

They also GRINDED like crazy to get those God Squads. Is it possible? Yes - if you devote 20+ hours each and every single week to the game. HUT is a competitive mode.
You can compete by grinding or buying items to build your cards. I do a bit of each and find the diversity helps to enjoy the game more than a single style.
