This is an issue we're aware of.

The penalties really need to be what is actually happening on the ice and not by what was input on a controller. Like you can absolutely cream someone just by skating fast in to them and no penalty. But even give that right stick a slight push when you’re not in that special little box in front of the net, it’s interference.

You need to keep in mind that the hardcore community that posts here, Reddit, and various social media channels are actually the minority of the playerbase. Also, the feedback directly provided here has made a huge impact on what gets released in updates and future games. We are listening to this community. However, acting on everything suggested is never going to happen.

There's an EA employee responding to all topics, including almost every incendiary message you post. It's not fair to say EA doesn't "care". It might just be that your specific gripes land more on the 'skill' side of the skill/problem table. 

Total Control is a new skill and acquiring a new skill can take time and practice.
