Interference penalties trying to shoot rebounds
Anyone else notice a ton of interference penalties when trying to shoot rebounds in front of the net?

Thank you for the clip showing this. I'll pass it on to the team. I agree, it's very frustrating.
Edit: We also need to see this happening in game and not in practice mode. If anyone has a clip, please send it over so we can reopen this investigation.
- @EA_Aljo We noticed a increase in interference calls for the puck carrier in game situations similar to what my clip shows except there are defenders nearby to be hit once the puck comes free. Can't say for sure the last patch had an adverse impact on this but the whole interference on rebounds and what my clip shows needs to be addressed. I think the hitting re work with right stick and the shove check may need another look, or when hitting takes priority on the right stick input. Any chance you can clarify what the intended design was with this? Should we be expecting hitting animations at all times in purely offensive scenarios or is something not working as intended currently?

We really need video of this happening in game.
The intent is not to take these penalties, but obviously it's happening.
- @EA_Aljo I'll save some footage next time I see it, I have some pretty regular offenders on my team.
I don't think any of the people really struggling with this are trying to take a penalty let alone hit someone in these situations either but that's how the game plays currently with this new control scheme.
Obviously something needs to be looked into with the right stick and shove check in the offensive end of play if these penalties aren't the intended result. - @EA_Aljo it did not fix it, it's still happening all the time.
Here is a link of me trying to shoot the puck as I crash to the net, I get poked and since I flick up to shoot as I got poked, my player body checks the defenceman.

If we are going to keep these terrible controls these penalties just need to not get called. Stop punishing the players for bad game design please.
Another simple way to fix this would be to reverse the hitting mechanic (flick DOWN for shove, hold up then flick down for hit.) That way when we flick UP the game knows we want to shoot but if we lose the puck we just charge a hit instead of getting an interference.
Please, please fix this next patch. There are so many different ways to fix this.
-Stop calling the interference infront of the net(not the best option, but better than what we have)
-Reverse hitting mechanics(Down to shove, Up,Down to hit
-Make it impossible to shove within seconds of losing a puck.
Shove check needs to be addressed in the offensive zone of play. Obviously there is an issue here to be resolved.
Why not go back on the new hitting controls to what worked and was intuitive for years. Now we have an unintuitive control for hitting where you don't even flick the stick in the direction you want to hit which was very intuitive and natural for what you wanted to try and achieve with your player.
I would say what needed to be addressed with hitting in the first place was the players skating half the distance of the ice holding the hit input, put a speed nerf on them if they hold the right stick more than 1.5 seconds. You should never need that much of run up with a charged hit to be hitting effectively and it promotes trolling and poor team play when idiots start taking egregious calls playing that way.
The control mechanism was never a problem with the hitting in this game that needed to be changed. We went from a working intuitive feature to a broken unintuitive feature. Not sure how ea sees this change as progress or for the better. The new hitting control mechanic on right stick sucks.

Why on earth does your player always double shoot the puck! Is so annoying going for a rebound after you shot it wanting to make a pass and you player will automatically shoot again
