New patch is garbage

Its plain and simple no matter if you’re in the best position or not. You hit the penalty button (A or x) it is almost guaranteed a hook or a slash. The real kicker is it even makes a stick contact sound but somehow goes through their stick and catches their glove or side. I’ll try n get a video montage of it since 23.
you just made me burst out laughing calling it the penalty button. How true is that. Broken game EA ....how many times do you have to be told by different user of your game... ie your customers.

I'm having no problem using the stick lift. I wouldn't exactly call it broken. We're also not getting a bunch of video of this. Normally, that's what happens when there's a problem. People are quit to point out an issue when it's being widely experienced. Not so much it's a smaller group with a problem. I'm not saying there are no issues with stick lift, but without video showing otherwise, it appears to be working as intended.
- @EA_Aljo My guess is because the player base has shrunk.. no amount of videos or anything have resulted in change.. I mean how many times have you asked for videos for 1 of 2 things to happen.. either you defend the game and just say the defender should have used input "a" instead of input "b" when they were clearly in a position to use either (and having the advantage of never knowing what would happen of they DID select the other input) that gets old.. it's always on the defender in this game to play perfectly. Or you succumb to the fact there's an issue and you just say you'll let the development team know.. to which maybe it will get a patch (typically that doesn't work) or maybe they just won't fix it and we just say it's working as intended. I mean I just dunno of there's much of a point in pointing out anything. There are threads with TONS of fixes that need to be made and we either pretend they don't or just say "the game seems to be in a good place" it's wild..
Tbh I've not tried to use slthe penalty button since 23. Just a button I'm too scared to press. Pokechecks are in a bad place. The aim at the feet is just incredibly bad.. the power of the poke.. sometimes the puck just stops completely.
You keep saying you don't experience any of these problems when you play.. can you stream one night and play defense? You're quick to say what everyone is doing wrong and how you don't experience any of the problems that we are. I just want to see what you're doing.- EA_Aljo
You can take a look at the patch notes and see that we're listening. Fixing the stick lift was one of those changes. Since then, I've been using it without issue and we don't get near the amount of reports we had on this previously. I'm not saying this means there are no problems with it. Nobody has submitted any video yet so we're not currently seeing any issues.
It's not that often I actually say someone is doing something wrong. Not without video at least. I'm also not saying that I never experience the issues you all are reporting. I get frustrated with pokes being picked up again, but I also know why that's happening. That happens normally when I'm backskating and I don't get good contact on the puck. The carrier is in a much better position to gain control again. They're facing the puck and skating in to it. I'm poking it and moving backwards out of reach of it. There are also many times my pokes successfully dislodge the puck and let myself or a teammate pick it up. It's not like every single poke in real world hockey is going to result in a turnover.
All I'm saying is, get some video of it and I'll run it by the team. I'm not going to raise an issue without proof. Because, contrary to what you all may think, they do spend valuable time investigating these issues. Which is a waste of said time when something is working as intended.
