Community ManagerWe want our game back how hard can it be for EA to see that ? Just because something is new dosent mean its better , The previous games is way better than this . And why did they had to ruin the hitting and the physics in the game ? A hockey game should be fast and hard
So Im not the only one who has trouble hitting after update? A miss a lot of hits now, its frustrating, before the update it was fine and probably the only thing not broken regarding defense. Now its favouring offense (like absolutely everything in the game).

Being a fairly avid but not great player, I've played almost every version over the years. (Squad battles only)
I'm pretty much on the verge of saying it’s not worth the time and frustration anymore. It almost feels like I'm getting glitched
I can understand the need to improve, tune and adjust the game to make it more enjoyable. For me right now its not very enjoyable.
The most recent tune was a bit of a challenge and I'm relearning and tuning my methods of playing. I'm usually a top 300 player but dropped down to a top 500 player. I can usually beat teams that are sub 85 by about 2 goals on superstar. Weaker teams are much easier and net more goals. I can frequently beat the ToTW etc.
The recent patch 1.4 has had me almost throw the controller a few times. I lost 8-0 against an 84 team. I went back and played them again and list 5-3 adjusting and focusing on defense and counter attacking. It feels like a Chore. The fun Factor went down a wide margin for me.
As a player that *loved hitting* it was part of my game and that is for the most part completely removed. I usually hit about 45-60 times a game and its now down to 15-20 times with me focusing on trying to slow down the offense.
The computer does not have the same issues hitting that I do.
General things On superstar
Computer seems to have endless energy
Computer with a 72 overall (77 speed defense) is able to catch 94 McDavid with 99+2 speed without much of an issue
Having a Gold Checking player (Regehr) hit sometimes the player is almost pushed away like there is a force shield around the player.
Hitting players seems to frequently get penalties.
Computer hitting you tends to wipe out your endurance bar so much faster than you
Computer getting hit seems to take 15-20% of their endurance bar
Critical things to review
On face off, if you lose and push forward slightly and switch to another player where the puck is you get called for a Interference penalty very often.
Player goals (Played by the AI) do the most Bone headed things of all time.
If I could score as easily as the computer, can I think it would be called a glitch goal. I am using just an 88 Luongo with all abilities activated.

Not sure why they'd lower CPU player and goalie ratings. They were bad enough as it is, and no one I saw was saying they were "too good." Now goalies are letting in everything under the sun, and games are consistently finishing 7-5, 9-6, 11-10, etc. I'd much rather play with a consistent AI teammate than some of the trolls out there who are just out to chase the puck around, have no idea what they're doing, or overall be a troll and ruin your game. One bad human teammate can bring down your entire team.
Why do you think people are leaving this game ? This is the first Nhl game that is not fun to play and simply not worth playing . Almost everyone i know have stopped playing this game . Mostly beacause of the new controls, the hitting and the shove thing which is just absurd , icon passning and pressure system shouldnt even exist in eashl clubs thats for children.
