Hey Everyone, Today at 1 PM ET we’re releasing a new Roster Update and Gameplay Tuner. The Roster Update is transaction-based to reflect changes made across the various leagues. Below you can find the gameplay changes coming to NHL 24. December Gameplay Tuner Updates: Community Feedback: CPU Teammates are taking too many penalties which can be frustrating as it feels out of the user’s control. Reduced the chance of CPU Teammate Penalties by adjusting the default setting of the CPU Teammate Penalty slider setting from 15 to 5. Community Feedback: Charging penalties are being called too often, especially on Shoulder Checks where the hitter is veering into the check. Increased the amount of frames a Skater must be traveling in a straight line for a Shoulder Check to be considered for a Charging Penalty. Community Feedback: Defenders who are facing the puck are not attempting to intercept a hard pass, especially when the pass is made tight to their body. This is allowing offensive players to force charge passes through well positioned defenders for close cross crease goals. Greatly increased the base pass intercept reaction time for skaters, increasing their ability to attempt pass intercepts quicker especially when facing the puck. Community Feedback: Holding RB/R1 and RS to Flip Dump takes too long to charge and makes using this action too ineffective, especially when under pressure or when trying to use this on the forecheck to get a puck deep. Increased the speed to fully charge up a Flip Dump by 20%. Community Feedback: While carrying the puck, Skaters with a higher speed attribute can be caught by a skater with a lower speed attribute. The Puck-Carrier speed penalty reduces the differentiation between skaters and can lead to small confusion with new players who aren’t familiar with this system. Increased Puck-Carrier skating speed by 2%. Increased Back Skating speed by 2% to keep speed balanced with Puck Carrier speed. Increased the Wheels X-Factor Zone Ability bonus by 30% to allow Skaters with this Zone Ability to skate at maximum speed. Increased the In Reverse X-Factor Zone Ability bonus to allow Skaters with this X-Factor to pivot faster. Additional Fixes: Fixed an issue which caused a Pass while your team is offside to have a high chance of being bobbled

The reverse hit button being assigned to the right stick click is ridiculous and causes a lot of accidental use. Would really be nice to have button mapping to change it. Nothing wise then getting in on a breakaway and accidentally clicking the stick down while you're trying to make a move.

@EA_AljoNext Update they really should just make it a toggle On/Off for the reverse hitting. It would seem like the most simple of ways to go about it.

CPU teammate penalties should be turned off completely. I should only have to kill a penalty when I make a mistake. Goaltending needs to be returned to its launch-day state. This was the first game in years with good goaltending, and the first big update ruined it. It is so much easier to get basic slot shots off in this game than in real life, so they should be made far less effective than slot shots in real life. Updating the game to have them go in more often has added to the randomness of the game. More randomness means it is less likely that the more deserving player will win the game. Randomness is the great equalizer. There is NO worse feeling than losing a game you deserve to win, because your opponent got lucky. NOTHING else comes close. Also, it's silly that there is a timer on full pressure. If the puck doesn't leave the zone, the pressure shouldn't be reset. It makes no sense. Buuut the amount of time the puck needs to be out of the D zone to relieve the pressure should be lessened.

This game is absolutely the worst nhl game in the history.

Its just hitting and hitting. Bouncing pucks with big tipper.

Yes, icehockey including hits and tip in goals but come on… this game doesnt look like icehockey.

I play mostly chel (6vs6, no bots) and have to say that there is still too much luck in the games. You dont need any skill if you wanna score or win a match. Just wristshot from the blue line which is bounching somehow to the net. Block doesnt help. There is too much [REMOVED] in the game. Puck is bouncing like a tennisball. You dont need to create goal scoring situations anymore. You dont need to be better than your opponent if you wanna win a game. If EA help you, you are unbeatable.

If we have 5 goals in the game. 4 could be bounching pucks, animations or tip in goals.

Thats why this game is ridicilous.

AI pens should be off competent in 3's. OFF. Also in 3's it would be a lot better if a penalty resulted in a 4 on 3 instead of a pen shot, then 5 on 3 for two and anything over 5 on 3 should then be a pen shot. Too many games are decided by AI dummies taking penalties in competitive games. The players should decide the game, not ai from penalty shots.

How do I start new franchise with the latest tuner update, and latest rosters??? Please someone help me… I remember years ago I could select which gameplay version I wanted but now it’s just unsaved preset, nhl 24 or a saved preset… HELP ME
