Yes having the goalies presented before the game is very important and give the whole game a much better feeling and you also would know which goalie who starts on the other team that is BASIC stuff.
And all the work to the gameplay going to be so much better. If possible the intro should start from the locker room seeing the players walk in the players tunnel and then skate out to the ice. Then a short warm up some various arena shots then nathional anthems and last they show the goalies with stats.Doing this for gameday atmosphere with todays graphics would most certain be the most beatuful sports game. Thanks for listening.
Appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

For the online players, looks good, audio is a nice improvement for everyone but offline...
Honestly, I just don't get the logic of not having goalie stats but somehow reckoning that capturing whatever a goalscorer posts on his Instagram is far more important for offline play.
But it does sum up the direction of the game. The Flex Moment is designed to take you out of the rink action and force you into some Social Media bizarro world. Technically speaking, the transition is disjointed and unnatural. An immersion breaker. Please EA, look at the comments under the YouTube vid, the topics here or reactions on Operation Sports. The majority of commenters are not keen on this at all. Screw up the satisfaction of scoring and you kill enjoyment in any sports game.
An instant improvement would be to have kept the Flex Moment for the milestone goals only... then by their rarity, the actual scene becomes a reward, even something to look forward to. Game Design 101. Give the player an incentive to keep doing the same thing. But having it after every single goal... it quickly becomes annoying and the supposed "bunch of pixels", that's your player models EA, remains a far more palatable model.
The whole "customers demanded broadcast cam back" is disingenuous. It *was* in 23 and EA patched it out, compromising a feature customers had already paid for. So now the original cam is back alongside the newer version. Why they couldn't have done that in the first place rather than using it as a de facto selling point 10 months later is beyond me... but maybe I've just answered my own question.

I don't know that I'd call the return of the old True Broadcast camera being mentioned as a selling point. It's more being stated as part of our focus on listening to the community. We've been told many times that we're ignoring community feedback and are working to turn that around.
As far as the flex cam goes, we're trying some new presentation features. Again, one of the big pieces of feedback we get is that the game is a copy and paste with updated rosters. Leaving everything the same as it's been previously doesn't help with that. I agree we should highlight the milestone goals better though.
Appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

I personally really like the flex moment goals , I feel the problem it has is the teammates just clutter around and follow the goal scorer with no emotion , if the other players were giving each other fist bumps and pats on the helmets while skating backwards then 1 player turns and another skating straight type a thing it would look alot better, but overall I think it's a really cool feature , maybe if possible you can let the dev team know and see if they can add some emotion to the other 4 teammates on the ice? Just a suggestion, overall 5 stars
- Strictly60s2 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@EA_Aljo And looks like @coolspot777 already mentioned the showing of players walking through the tunnels and onto the ice as well. This is absolutely necessary and should be put into the game. My two cents worth, anyways.

adding on to what @coolspot777 said, something like NHL 15 (understand the real video in the booth isn't possible without a ton of resource allocation) but the players skating around and stats present would give it a much more realistic feel. Starting from the locker room would be an even bigger plus.

@jdangles23I watched your link and yeah it’s ridiculous how we went from a true broadcast experience to how nhl 23 was… @EA_Aljo please let the devs know that full presentation should be the focus for nhl 25. Some of us old school players feel it needs to be brought back. Full presentation not being in these games makes it feel rushed and dull and I know that is the idea but I want to see more of the intro and the hard work on the ice projections only to see them for like 5 seconds… please tell them to try to get a deal with ESPN or tnt because that is where nhl is going to be especially tnt they just signed like a three year deal with them so… would love to hear Kenny Albert and John forslund replace James… also actually having a intermission report would be a nice change… please do what you need to do so they can get it going for next year.

@Bruins0633yrs is hardly a good deal of length. It would take several years to do a presentation like that and get all the people on board over there. Say if they didn't renew after the 3 years it would need ripped out thus wasting valuable time. If it isn't something like 8-10yrs the real life broadcast of a brand probably won't make it to the game series.
EA FC (formerly FIFA) ripped out their full presentation for this year. Unsure as to why, but could because they don't have the FIFA license or maybe too many people complaining about wanting to skip it and/or skip it.
If a small fraction of people are watching the whole thing then maybe they deem it isn't worth the time to keep updating/maintaining it. We will never get the direct answer to this at all. Only can wait each year to see if change happens and then you decide if you want the game or not.
To me it's a double edged sword if offline people aren't buying it because then the mode is used less and less and they notice it. Then maybe they determine if they invested into that mode how many would return and for how long. I remember when the NBC stuff got added to the game it took like a year for people to complain about the same lines and Doc being boring. If people gonna want constant change and updates of that it just doesn't feel worth it.

Will the goalie stats in the game intro be added this year? It was in nhl22 then removed for nhl23. Really important feature for franchise gamers?
- 20Portugal042 years agoNew Veteran@COYG316 For NHL 24 the goalie stats will not be included in the introduction of each game during franchise games, sorry, it was in a post confirming full presentation will not be included in 24. Hope this helps.
Could you link to the confirmation?
I figured it would not return but curious to see the news myself. I’ll be skipping another year.
- 2 years ago@COYG316 Sorry, no. They copied and pasted last year’s presentation and franchise mode.
- 2 years ago@maddawgnp Completely true with some interesting new features added that nobody cares. Skipping this year.
