NHL 24 Presentation Deep Dive

@Bruins0633yrs is hardly a good deal of length. It would take several years to do a presentation like that and get all the people on board over there. Say if they didn't renew after the 3 years it would need ripped out thus wasting valuable time. If it isn't something like 8-10yrs the real life broadcast of a brand probably won't make it to the game series.

EA FC (formerly FIFA) ripped out their full presentation for this year. Unsure as to why, but could because they don't have the FIFA license or maybe too many people complaining about wanting to skip it and/or skip it.

If a small fraction of people are watching the whole thing then maybe they deem it isn't worth the time to keep updating/maintaining it. We will never get the direct answer to this at all. Only can wait each year to see if change happens and then you decide if you want the game or not.

To me it's a double edged sword if offline people aren't buying it because then the mode is used less and less and they notice it. Then maybe they determine if they invested into that mode how many would return and for how long. I remember when the NBC stuff got added to the game it took like a year for people to complain about the same lines and Doc being boring. If people gonna want constant change and updates of that it just doesn't feel worth it.

Yes you are right, but it was their decison to minimize the work for offline modes during the last years ( second year in a row nothing ) and so its no wonder that possibly many will leave, year after year. It looks like it is more the wish that they want to remove these modes, no other explanation for this. I as a Franchise only player will try the 10 hours trial, but only to detect the new likenesses and to see which new headshot pics got in. Thats all whats intresting to me, rest doesnt matter cause all more or lesser the same since some years. For the perfect gameplay I have my own sliders and can make every game from the last years playable. At least I will do like the last two years, waiting to find the game in a used market and buy from private. Sorry, but to buy a game only for a roster update without any changes in Franchise mode is worth no Penny giving to EA.

@EA_AljoI notice no mention of goalie save replays - what a shame. That's some of the best parts of hockey.

EDIT: Never mind, I just saw the post by Thrash. Looks like goalie save replays are back for offline mode, at least. 

Does team on-ice projections will be available in World of chel in NHL 24 instead of just international anthems projections?

I couldve sworn they said you could have multiple custom cellys with the new flex moments? I didn't see any option for it in the tech test.

I just saw the pictures of the top rated defenseman in Instagram, why on earth did you make Erik Karlsson's eyes light blue?! He has brown eyes and he had brown eyes in the game before. He looks nothing like himself anymore. Also he cut he's hair almost two years ago and he still has that long hair in game. I am guessing it's the same thing with guys like Laine who shaved he's hair before last season and he still has long hair in game. You say you put more focus on player likeliness and then stuff like this get's overlooked.

They should be embarrassed. Their lack of attention to detail is nothing new unfortunately.

I’m saddened to see there is once again no “full presentation”. As much as I wanted a full presentation like when EA had some of the rights of NBC, I could’ve just lived with just showing us the starting goalies and their stats before the opening faceoff. Hoping something small like that could at least be patched in some point during the year.
