I’ve been very vocal about this, and YES it was a TERRIBLE idea. I also believe that this was already in the game before but without the meter… In fact it was in the game for years…
When you put BIG STUFF on the ice or on the screen EA, at least make it an option to turn it OFF !
I also won’t buy 24 because of this after buying every edition since NHL91.

@PernellKarl027 Idk if you played the tech test or not. But the feeling you get from a powered up meter is very noticeable compared to anything of the past. Gameplay wise NHL 24 truly feels so much different and the meta will more than likely change.

But I really hope that players don’t lose too much of their abilities when pinned ? I also hope it can be tuned for offline peeps ?
Imagine a guy like McDavid losing his speed when he gets the chance to jump on a loose puck in the D zone 🤔
