The pace and the control looks so much smoother.
Also cool you land a hit, you get rewarded by more room on ice, because the time it takes for the player that got hit to get back in play is slower, but also the other way, you miss a check and you give away much room to the opponent. I dont know, heard nothing about it in this trailer but someone mention it before that you can fall on the ice if you poke check too careless, if that also true, should mean theres a big risk to both spam hits and poke checks, this should add tons of fun and room on ice. Imagine a game without spam and L'ting..
I also love that EA try to encourage shots. 👏
Stretch and breakaway passes, always something the defending team need to be aware of..
If I mix all these new stuff in my head and try to imagine what tomorrow will bring.. Then I really like the picture.
It will be fun to follow this one closer as time goes.

@Sega82mega So from watching various videos of the various people who have played the game.....
Checking now works like this. Pressing just up on the right stick will give a shove type animation. So it's not really a great hit but more of a controlled state. Now to do big hits it is apparently like doing a slapshot where you wind back on the right stick and then up to deliver a devastating type hit.
Also been said in at least 1 video that LTing is next to dead, but that is definitely a wait and see imo.

You doing a fine job catching up.
Remember using that shove type animation, trying to defend L2 monsters.
Even think I kinda did that wind back move to throw more powerful hits, but maybe it was more in my head then it actually was that way.

Yeah it sounds too good to be true, the ugliness usually take some time before it shows It's true color. Ways to exploit the game will definitely happen, its just not known yet how to do so, hopefully we get a way to do so that isnt as frustrating as LTing.
The combination, LTing + Hit bubble, was no fun to deal with, thinking of that makes me glad I quit playing.
Buuuut 24 could be something diffrent, definitely look like it could be that way. ✊
