I've certainly bought my fair share of games second hand over the years, but keep in mind, the more legit sales of the game there are, the bigger the budget for new additions and improvements. Buying the game second hand doesn't help in this case, but I understand not wanting to spend your money on a game that you feel isn't worth it.
This is terrible advice to be honest. Why in the world would we buy these games if they don’t even get updated (talking about offline modes)
sure the gameplay is a slight degree better (allegedly) but is that really worth spending 80 dollars on?
if the game that was put out was polished, and there were legitimate, meaningful changes to the game, then people would buy it and not wait to buy it secondhand.
but that never happens. Hasn’t happened in years now.
supposedly there’s plans to update the offline mode in the future, sure. But how long? And what? Locking us out of more customization options? Removing scouts? There isn’t very many silver linings here, especially after years of us complaining that we’re mostly ignored every year.
and this year, we were TRULLY, fully ignored.the only new things we’re seeing is base mechanics that every mode gets. Nothing new at all.
I was only commenting on how fewer sales don't help get those offline features added. With the majority of people playing online modes, there's obviously a heavy focus there. As stated, there are long term plans for offline modes. It's absolutely unfortunate that isn't reflected in 24. I can't state how much I would have loved for offline to get more attention and I'm not even an offline player.

Seeing as you have to read our complaints every day I 100% believe your last sentence, lol. I feel for you on some days.
But yeah, when I buy second hand, I’ll be connected to the network when I play FM so you should get that data on what’s being played regardless. If anything I’m potentially converting a sale from an online only player into an offline sale.
