The "exhaust engine" is really bothering me.It is very arcadey. The "power meter" on the ice is very obnoxious and not the least bit authentic or realistic. I feel like this sort of mechanic belongs in Street Fighter, not NHL 24.More importantly, this "issue" could easily be addressed by just making fatigue more prominent. Your line is caught out there hemmed in your zone, the other team gets change and fresh players, and then you're in trouble because your line is tired and theirs isn't. Make the speed penalty for fatigue way higher - especially when it's in the "red", wherever that is determined to be - and maybe even add in some hunched over/barely moving skating animations. It will be hard to get the puck out of the zone, you will try to get a cover with your goalie or an off-the-glass and out. You arrive at the same outcome as the "exhaust" engine, without the gimmicky, arcadey stuff. And it requires the offensive team to get fresh legs, which the "exhaust engine" is completely missing.Likewise, goalies could have a fatigue bar too, that goes down with lots of shots/movement, goes up between faceoffs and between periods.Again, same outcome, done more authentically/realistically, no gimmicky/arcadey stuff. I guess "improved fatigue engine" isn't as marketable as "exhaust engine". Its kind of insulting that EA thinks hockey as a sport is so boring that we need "special move power bars" in the game.

EA might promote offense but do people actually play offense?

Might sound crazy and I dont know if It's true, but best way to get people to play defence and make it mather, might be to build a strong offense, so that people respect offense enough much so that they know they need to switch back to defence as soon as they turn over the puck.

So the pressure bar dosent reset after the puck is out of the o-zone? .. Thats strange, should at least be a countdown (20 sec or something) to get back before it go back to zero.

Icon passes is definitely something I would like to hear more about.

Being a master of sauce passes without any help from the game, should always beat icon passing.

Aaww, man, I wonder how everything will work out.

This is the danger of 'thinking outside the box', bringing too much new to the table, all the pieces need to fit, without causing too much error.

But at least the game has to feel diffrent from anything earlier.

But diffrent better or diffrent worse... Thats a big difference. 🙄😇

But RedChaamp mention a learning curve, thats good and before a game can feel as good as it get, I guess you need to learn the best how to work with the game.

Some hours with the playtest might not be enough to get the whole picture.

@FroommeyI'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed this (pretty sure it's in 22 as well) I found the CPU also plays harder in the final minute because it's trying to bridge the gap. I've seen guys like Jumbo Joe suddenly zip towards me like he's in his prime again. I'm not trying to accuse towards anything.
I actually like this tho cause your coach IRL should be pressing you to play harder in certain situations/ sustained pressure IRL can cause a team to play better, it just needs balance so it's not a guarantee/ players are still realistically playing to their abilities. I want to lose games cause the CPU earned it as fairly as me.

After hearing last year about how 2K let’s you start your franchise from almost any point in time I’d probably pay them $200 for an NHL version of their game, lol.

You are PK you can do what-ever you want, could still be that your reach would be shorter even though you carrying around a hockey stick, in compare to the NBA giants.

But the sight though, would be funny. You in your little Habs jersey running around and yelling french words...

I am not a basketball fan but the feeling of the game that comes with the presentation they have i just buy for that reason alone because the game is so much better to play than the sport i love the most ice hockey. with the horrible presentation in EA NHL game it just take out the life of the game.
