On Xbox, any controller can be remapped. I believe you can do this on PlayStation as well. The problem is, this will remap the controls for everything. There are some controllers, like the Elite from Microsoft that let you set different profiles so you can switch between using the mapped controls or the regular controls. There are other controllers with this feature as well. You can do a web search for them. You can also do a search for the instructions for remapping controls in general.
- PurceyPea2 years agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo I sorta like this idea so far but I am a little confused… if I were to get the Microsoft elite controller because I am an Xbox user would this automatically give me NHL 94 controls or give me an option to customize my own control set-up?

No. It doesn't give you those controls. You would need to remap the controls yourself. I recommend you look up some videos on these controllers.
- PurceyPea2 years agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo OK I am gonna do some research about this on YouTube… but I have a few questions… #1 If this all works would this affect any saved progress on my other games? #2 If I am able to remap the NHL 94 controls to NHL 25 would I stay be able to have the current updated rosters and create players and that sort of stuff? and #3 when does NHL 25 come out?

You're not changing the controls of the game. You're just changing what functions the buttons perform. Your game saves, rosters, in-game settings, etc., will not be affected.
NHL 25 releases on October 4th.

This means you make a button perform a different function than what it does by default. For example, if you want to move hustle from clicking down on the left stick to using the A button instead, you would make that change in the Xbox controller settings. To find out more about this, go to www.google.com and search on Xbox controller button remap. You should find a lot of articles and videos explaining this.
- PurceyPea2 years agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo That sounds like customizing your own control set-up I am gonna do my research on control mapping because this sounds like a very good solution to all of this it’s not the solution of bringing back the NHL 94 controllers like me & many other people want but it’s better than nothing at all should I succeed in doing I will try to pass it on to other people and everyone will be happy
- PurceyPea2 years agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo I watched some videos about the remapping it wasnt much but how would I be able to use any customized controls in NHL 25? Also can I remap the controls with my current regular control?

What this does is remap the controls for every game and app as well as how you navigate the menus on your console. Unless you get a controller that has separate profiles. Then you can activate a different profile for different games. For example, I have one profile I activate when I'm playing NHL. Then, I can turn it off when I'm done and go back to normal controls.
