@KidShowtime1867 That's really not an accurate concern, IMO. I might have gotten a single delay of game penalty last year. I'm a PK-specialist defenseman who would probably get 2 clears on average each PK. We're probably talking 1,000+ clears. Practicing dumps for literally 5 minutes in practice mode will let you know when you can and can't dump the puck. I got to a point where I could flip the puck right after the red line and softly drop it right in the corner and create a 50-50 battle if their D wasn't ready for it. It was a great, realistic part of the game that mimic'd real life.
To me, it just seems like they're making it harder to get out of your zone (making the exhaustion engine more of a factor) by getting rid of mechanics that were already realistic. They didn't want people clearing the puck to reset the exhaustion engine even though that's literally what happens IRL.

@ScottMallon1 I miss the days of NHL17 & 18 where all you had to do on D or on the PK was (PS4 control) hold R1 and flick the right analog stick and your defenseman would just wack the puck away hahaha. Such a simpler time. But I do miss being able to dump the puck out of the zone properly, not dump it and the puck only go 5 feet
