One thing that definitely needs to be fixed is hitting in the offensive zone.Instead of one-timing a puck or shooting a rebound, my player throws his arms up and tries to hit somebody. why would an offensive player ever do this? I want to shoot the puck

The pressure meter garbage is still way too overpowered. It lowers attributes too much, it has too much of an impact on stamina, it should go to half meter once the puck leaves the zone or the goalie covers the puck or there is a whistle (doesn't completely reset/end the meter).Puck dumps/flips are still way too weak. Teams should be able to reliably clear the puck from their zone on the PK or when the pressure meter is full. Purposely nerfing it just to make things easier on offense is a joke, especially when the defensive tools are all weak currently.Just completely remove the shoving. It causes people to get interference penalties in the offensive zone, and on defense it prevents people from manually aiming poke checks while taking them out of the play because they are slowed down while shoving the air.For the love of god change how the WOC menus work, it feels like I'm in the 90s again using dialup internet. This is completely unacceptable for 2023.Sadly I didn't get a clip of it but I was playing a 3v3 quickplay game, our team scored on a penalty shot, the other team paused the game, and while we were paused someone on the other team was able to keep playing and scored a goal while we were stuck in the pause menu. Not sure if this is an exploitable thing or just a rare random bug.

So there’s a few glaring issues with gameplay both offline and online. Pressure system in concept is great, it builds a tad too quickly still in my opinion. Which moves to the larger issue, the debuff received is a bit too much especially since it doesn’t end of the defensive team carries the puck out of the zone. You can manage to go from defensively hemmed in to trying to forecheck in the other zone with puck control, but STILL be experienced the nerf effect until the Pressure timer is done. That’s a bit backwards and just hurts the team finally fighting back. Shouldn’t be that hard to implement a code in the game to register the defensive team clears own blue line, debuff removed. The other huge issue, it’s far too easy to lose the puck, not pickup the puck, regardless of the stats related to those movements. Often you can be sneezed on and just give the puck to the other team. You could be battling for a rebound and just, not shoot/get the puck despite being on top of it and uninterrupted. Those two things are super painful so far, another note, can the celebration cutscenes be turned off in offline PLEASE. They’re beyond immersion breaking, online, fine I get having them, offline they’re just bad and break game flow entirely. Also small things, defensemen are too easily blown past/AI dmen are brainless and go for pokechecks at center ice too much leading to odd men rushes as they can’t adjust. Flip passing for zone clearing on the PK literally doesn’t work.

@NHLANDERS the puck flip being under powered has been purposely nerfed ,stupidest thing they've ever done ,just once again showing the no nothing about hockeyAnd no you can't turn off the pressure meter on the ice

Why has a hybrid control been taken away from NHL 24. Last season, it forced you to play online to complete challenges to collect packs and again this year. My experience with playing online had been absolutely terrible and I will never play online again. It's no fun. I just like to play against the computer Build my team as I can and just do the best that I can. But what's these changes to the NHL? It is making it harder and harder to have fun. I guess this looks like it'll be my last season to buy NHL thanks a lot EA sports.

@EA_Aljo Can we finally just have the missing goalie equipment that almost half the leagues goalies if not more, use. None of which are in the game. And they were all used last year.

I am disabled and require hybrid controls to play modern NHL games. Choosing to disregard those who suffer from disabilities leaves many feeling alienated and we are often ostracized from the very community we wish to be a part of. I personally have been accosted for my inability to play the game, which only further instills a great distaste for the product I have spent money on.

Can we get the tactics control back on normal, as in 23? Or is this with the hybrid control coming-back patch?

They may be able to key it based on zone however.. if they can do that then it's fine. As long as D can still use vision and shove at same time.
In '23, you were able to hold LT to negate body checking in the O-Zone while also still being able to utilize LT and and shove in the D-Zone.

@EA_Aljo While I appreciate your prompt response, I did not present a question. I simply don't understand why EA chose to not include a feature that so many disabled gamers have relied on for years. I suppose my question is the following; have the needs of the disabled community been negligently overlooked or was it simply a more cost effective route to not include a feature that so many of us require?

I'll see if I can find out more information on this. I know the removal of Hybrid controls was not done to be cost effective though. I have a feeling it's related to the new controls that were added this year and not really being able to apply them to the Hybrid layout. That's speculation on my part though. I'll do my best to get an official answer on this.

Any update on dumping the puck being put back to the way it was? Very hard to break defensive zone pressure when you can’t clear the puck. Slap shot not always an option and takes longer to pull off as well. Also any chance of A/X button being protect the puck again? So many controls that were in the game for years have now been changed? Hitting is like a slap shot now? Hip checking seems too strong as well especially if you’re skating away from the person trying to hop check you and you just barely touch butts and then go flying as if it were a full blown check and lose all stamina.
