- ilredelione523 years agoSeasoned Rookie@EA_Aljo Need to put in penalties for quitters in EASHL. I got guys quitting when the team goes down 3-0. 4 out of 6 players quit and 2 guys left to play two whole periods.
Other thing right now is matchmaking lobbies are downright atrocious as far as wait times. Maybe there’s not enough players come over from 23 yet but it’s terrible.
The hit stick is OK. Most of the time guys are just throwing their a**es into the boards and flipping your teammates into the air. - FleaRHCP9703 years agoSeasoned Adventurer@Kingkush866 Maybe that's why the servers are down? They're hurrying them back in? Unbelievable.

No. It is left for D-pairs and right for offensive lines. Right doesn‘t work most of the time.

I've relayed the feedback on matchmaking times. It might have to do with people joining clubs as free agents instead of playing drop-in games.
It would be good to see a penalty for quitting. I also know that drop-ins can be a pretty brutal experience so it can be tough to play out a game when you have some teammates trolling.
Sony is having an outage currently. That's why you can't connect.
- ilredelione523 years agoSeasoned Rookie@EA_Aljo I noticed the settings for matchmaking did include clubs and I changed that. I’ll have to try it out next time I’m on.
As for the quitting maybe something similar to what they do with Alex legends. Where you can’t match make for 5 or 10 minutes. Since the xbox360 release many years ago, NHL has always been a fluid, realistic, and fun game. I’m a traditionalist, where playing online/versus competitive is where I spend most of my time often cracking the top 100 reaching as high as 37 in NHL22.
I am extremely confused by this years game. I’m open to changes and advancements as evolving is crucial, however, the gameplay changes I find not only ineffective, but a bit bizarre. Here are two that stand out to me.
1. Button dekes - These are ineffective in competitive play and analog puck control has become increasingly ineffective as a result. Also, the back hit with the right analog while controlling the puck is beyond bizarre to me and has been accidentally clicked often. I understand you can go back to last years controls, but I believe evolving with the game is important.
2. Protect puck - Removing this feature with the A button makes using angles more challenging and makes good larger players less effective (Barkov, Kopitar, Matthews, Thatchuk, etc). The game seems to have reverted back to rewarding speed over overall talent/skill set.
Other changes such as how to dump the puck, hitting buttons, etc, aren’t a big deal but again I’m wondering who is banging the table for these kinds of changes? If the focus was more on fine tuning gameplay, fluidity, animations, etc, as opposed to changing things that seem like many didn’t want/need changed, the result would have been much better.
My concern is that hockey traditionalists are being left behind for arcade-like game modes. I understand you have to follow the money, but fear any short term gain will not outweigh the long term success that the NHL franchise has always had.Sincerely,

I've been playing for over 30 years, and EA, without warning, took away the only controls my old, disabled * can realistically use. EA doesn't care about loyal fans. All they want are kids who'll pay up for the Chel "Battle Pass" like this is Fortnite or something.
- TheUnusedCrayon3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Symtexbc I agree but you can offset this with tuners a bit.
