ya the custom build is fine and all, but the problem is when using the skin for purely cosmetic reasons, you have not option to not use that build and instead use your own. I was under the impression when buying it that i could just use the skater model itself and none of the other stuff
Yes thats exactly it. Nobody who plays this game at a remotely competitive level would ever use this build in a club setting. I should be able to remove the attached custom build to it and instead use my own. I assumed this was just a skin that i could use, now that i realized i can only use the goon build associated with it, Ive already taken it off and treating it as a wasted 1000 points
I completely agree that the store is essentially selling the character separately and it makes it look purely cosmetic (Which it should be). Attaching a single build option that you can unlock in the battle pass is just awful. You can use the preset unique builds with any custom skater, it should work the other way around as well, cosmetic characters should be open to your own unique builds.
Either that or have text letting people know so many don’t waste their money
I purchased this build and now it will now allow me to even switch to any other builds that I made such as sniper or 2 way forward
I am stuck using Hammer every game
You can see it shows I have other loadouts
Even shows I have sniper and Hammer active ...
But when I goto Ready up and play it reverts back to Hammer loadout and shows I only have that as optio

Somebody posted having this issue also. Hopefully it wasn't just you so they can have several cases to examine and actually fix it. Imagine buying something and paying extra to break something in the game for you.
Are you telling me that we can pay money for a build that's better than anything we can do for what's unlocked for free in game?

Community ManagerDid you set the Hammer build for all your players (home, away, alternate)? If so, you need to also remove it for each player.

The issue is it doesn't let me select any other builds ... only 1 option in the ready up screen and it's Hammer...
I tried saving builds copying builds it let's me edit custom builds but does not let me select them to use and play in a game
It only shows 1 build to select on this screen

That is really dumb to have that in customize player clothing etc rather than in the Loadout screen where I was trying to select a loadout not what my guy looked like
Soo dumb wasted hours because customize menus are terrible in NHL24

Yes I could not change to any custom Sniper or two way forward loadout
Until I went in and change in "Customize" and changed each Home-Away-Alternate to not have the Hammer "look"
Then my guy looked like the guy I created with a Parka on etc and I could use my CREATED loadouts
The Hammer appearance should not affect loadouts at all ... I should be able to be the Hammer loadout or look like the Hammer with my customized attributes such as Sniper
The LOOK AND LOADOUT should be 2 separate things
